Bug? Community information not showing

I experimented with the new "show community ratings" option and found that "Yes" does not popup a community rating in Library Info nor is any shown in the Rating column. So I checked the LibraryCatalog database and found there is NO community information for rating and tags!  However, the stable version v5.0a does have the community information.

I wonder why?

Selecting "No" for the program setting 'Show community tags' or 'Show community rating' causes:

    1. All of the data to be deleted
    2. The library index to be rebuilt
    3. The user interface to be refreshed

The UI is refreshed immediately, but the index may take some time to rebuild. This can cause search results to contain results corresponding to either field if the re-indexing has not yet completed.

Selecting "Yes" reverses all of these changes. However, restarting the application is required so that the resource meta-data service is restarted and the data is re-downloaded. The downloading and indexing may take some time, during which the UI and search results may be incomplete.

I suspect that you selected first "No," causing the data to be deleted, and then "Yes." Fixing the issue of no data appearing should be as simple as restarting the program after you selected "Yes."

If you have already restarted the program and the data has still not appeared then that is a bug. If that is the case, please let us know.

    Brisa,

Thank you for your detailed response.

With Yes on the Community Tags setting I now see data in Library Catalog db & no Community Ratings data because the setting is No. I'll experiment some more.

    2. The library index to be rebuilt

I'm sure you meant the Catalog index in case people think it will re-index their resource library.

You are correct. Thank you for clarifying that.
