This commentary set should be available. It's a valuable resource.
It is available as a Libronix CD and many places still sell the first volumes of it. A search of "Ancient Christian Commentary Libronix" should give you some choices.
It would be good if it were more obviously available and that the new volumes would be added.

Absolutely. I'd buy them. Douglas McCready leaned on them for his fine work in his The preexistence of Christ and the Christian Faith.

They have been available on Logos in the past, but currently are not for some reason. I do own them and reference them frequently.
A couple items of speculation.
Logos no longer sells any items on CDROM, IVP wants to be able to distribute it via their own channels as well as Logos. Times when the CDROM and Logos were selling it at the same time it was embarrassing how much more the Logos version was compared to CDROM prices from various distributors. My guess is Logos no longer wished to hear complaints and or pulled it because IVP wasn't willing to offer them a more substantial discount on selling it. Logos could bring it back but if their price is always 30-40% higher it may just cause hard feelings to users who feel ripped off at the price they payed purchasing it via Logos directly. Personally I do not think it's a horrible thing that you have to purchase the CD to get it, the savings is worth the wait it takes to get a CD in the mail. Many times I have gone that path to get big savings, the people's Bible was hundreds cheaper (I believe Logos has convinced the publisher to stop selling the CDROM and has somewhat discounted the price for the set but it is still $70 higher than I paid), BST is still far cheaper to get on CDROM than directly from Logos. Yes it is convenient to purchase directly from Logos but in my past experience it has virtually always been cheaper to no go through Logos if a CD version is available. IVP is a big publisher and my guess is they won't be pushed around by Logos. I understand publishers wising to have a CD to put into their own distribution channels, Logos may in someways be limiting their options if they refuse to offer CD versions for publishers, but put a total lock on pricing. With the ACCS series Logos may not be willing to take a smaller profit to compete with IVP so has decided not to offer it online or there may be some other reason, whatever it is you can get it. I know one publisher recently seems to have insisted on gong with Wordsearch to replace a misguided PDF release, even though the same item is on prePub with Logos, and my guess is because WS was willing to make a CDROM for them.

Logos doesn't sell this series anymore for reasons cited above. They are available from Christian Book Distributors for example. It will come as a Libronix (Logos 3) CD. Here are instructions for two methods to install Libronix CD resources into Logos 4 or 5:

I have the Vol 1 CD integrated into my Logos library since I got it years ago but would love vol 2 to come... especially the two volumes on John and the volume on the Acts of the Apostles

Please work it out with IVP
One of the few minor improvements of Logos4/5 over Libronix (joking!), is that ACCS doesn't act-up whenever you're moving between commentaries for the same passage (using the arrow key).
In Libronix, ACCS hides in waiting, grabbing the parallel and switching the key so that there is no way you're going to 'arrow-back' without a re-start. I always leave ACCS out in the 'parallels' cold, with all the other commentaries having a great time inside working together.
