All the sudden, when I highlight a verse with one of my created highlight styles, the verse has stopped popping up in the specified file. Here's a screenshot of the latest one-

Doc - You haven't really given us enough context to go on… What behavior have you chosen for your highlighter pallet? How are you sorting the note file?
OK, I figured this out myself. Last night, I did some 'consolidating' of some highlighting styles into a couple fewer palettes. What I forgot was, highlighting goes to a notes file tied to a palette, not the highlighting style itself. (At least, I can't figure out how to make it tie to a highlighting style.)
Not sure why I forgot that (getting old sucks), but it is all fixed now. Boneheaded move, but nonetheless logical...can a notes file indeed be tied to a highlighting style instead of the palette in which the highlighting style is found? Sure would be helpful.

Highlights by default go into a pallet specific (named) note file. You can change this behavior in several ways, but this behavior is changed at the pallet level. You can select another note file of your choice. You can also choose to send notes to the last used note file. This is my preferred behavior, and allows me to more easily send notes where I want… but also allows for more mistakes if I am careless.
The closest thing I can think of would be for you to create a pallet for each style. You could create a shortcut key for these styles, and send the notes to the correct folder.

That's what I've done.
