Bug: Crash on Resume from Sleep Mode

I'm running Logos 5 on a Sony VAIO laptop with Win8 Pro (which is terrific, by the way).

When I put it in sleep mode, it crashes when I wake it up. This problem is happening fairly frequently, though not always.

Log is attached. For this incident, I did nothing more than start up Logos & leave it on the home page.3833.Logos.log

The log doesn't have any crash information. Upload logos.log after it crashes and before you restart Logos, also include any error/crash logs.

That is the only log that was generated, and I uploaded it before restarting.

If there is no crash log what do you mean by "crash"? What do you see when it crashes?

If you have any error logs please upload those.

Windows announces that the program has stopped working and has to be forcefully closed. It must then be restarted. In other words, when the system wakes up, Logos abruptly terminates. No other information is available.

Then you'll have to contact Logos Support who can get on your computer, with your permission, to diagnose it.

I've been able to reproduce the crash, but the log file doesn't give any other information than the one I uploaded.

I'm wondering if this is somehow related to the NRSV bug mentioned in this thread:

I switched to the ESV for a few days and had no crashes; it only happened again when I tried switching back to the NRSV as my priority. (Note that for me this is happening just with having Logos open or in sleep mode, not when using the Bible Word Study tool.)

I have a Mac and this same problem is happening every time I close my laptop and put it to sleep. I open the laptop and Logos will not respond. I need to force quit and then reopen. Is there a fix for this?

I kept getting this issue as well. Running Logos 5 on Dell XPS12 with Windows 8.1 . So it seems this issue is across hardware and OS.

This is a known problem with the Mac version. The fix is currently being tested in 5.2a Beta, and will be released to the Stable Channel when it is bug-free—or some approximation of buglessness [8-|]

Cannot personally test this since I have always given my Macs insomnia for the last 15 years—or more. Since I got an iPad, the MBP has retired.

OP here: I never did figure out what the problem is with this but it very rarely happens anymore. Since I started this thread, Logos has gone through a number of updates and Windows has gone to 8.1, so somewhere along the line it got (mostly) fixed (at least for me.)
