Has anyone who holds licences to the old files for Spurgeon's Sermons had a resource update yet?
Not yet. Do you know when it went live? (It can sometimes take a couple of days for all the orders/licenses to be processed.)
Richard, it was officially meant to go live on Jan. 3, and I received it yesterday (I'm one of the ones who didn't have this resource, and bought it new through CP.)
I own the old files and haven't received anything at this time. [:S]
I received mine sometime late yesterday. I also bought them through CP.

It would not be unexpected that those who paid for the upgrade get to move to the front of the line. I'm glad I didn't have to pay, and am content to wait. I still have the Ages version to use, if I have to.
I had several Wesleyan resources (Wesley, Beet, and others) in the old Ages format in Logos and had to pay to upgrade to the new format.
So if you don't have to pay any upgrade price consider it a great blessing.
I had the old collection and I received the new collection yesterday. I thought it might replace, as they seem identical but with additional tagging/indices; but they go into your library as new resources. If you have restarted, done "Update Resources", and still don't have it (assuming you got your email confirmation), then call them. If you have not gotten an email it may be that it's taking them some time to get them all out, and it would appear that upgrades and new purchases look the same to the system.
Getting an email suggests to me that you placed a Community Prining bid, and the emil notification includes a sentence telling you that your credit crd has been charged. Is that what you got? I f the answer is yes, then you are not one of those awaiting a free upgrade that this posting is addressed to.
Many years ago, a competitor named Ages Software offered Spurgeon's Sermons in their PDF format. Ages subsequently teamed with Logos to offer the set in Libronix format. Anyone with an active Logos account that owns that Libronix version that was marketed by Ages gets a free upgrade to this new release. The original poster of this thread is asking those who are entitled to the free upgrade if in fact they have received it yet. I am pretty certain those entitled o he free upgrade wlii not get any sort of email notification, provided they read the listing about the free upgrade and did NOT bid on the CP listing.
I, like other responders who re awaiting the upgrade, have yet to receive it.
I got them last night about midnight, CST.

Yes, but the Wesley files were not the same content as the old files, while the Spurgeon files are. The new files of Wesley's Journal contained a good bit of material that was not included in the old Jackson edition which was in the old Ages files. Also, Logos made the old Ages Wesley files available on the iPad and in L5 format. So you did not have to purchase the upgrade unless you wanted the additional content. In fact, I still have both the old and new files of the Wesley material.
On the other hand, Spurgeons Sermons are the same sermons.
That, at least, is the justification for having to pay to upgrade the Wesleyan Resources.
I do have an aged one, same 63 volumes, but on the web it is not grayed. If I get a free update, then why it isn't marked as I owned those resources?
It should be marked once your license points to the new resource. Once that happens, it should be available for download. I suspect that those of us who are getting the free upgrade from the Ages version, are being entered into the system manually (not that I really know). Expect it to take a few days, and don't expect it over the weekend.
Thank you Richard for the fast reply
I do not want to promote any spirit that is not filled with grace and thanksgiving, but I feel a compulsion within me to quote the exact wording Logos uses about the free upgrade in the product listing:
Do you already own the Ages edition of The Complete Spurgeon Sermon Collection (63 vols.) that was built for Libronix? Then you will receive this updated collection for free, and the files will automatically download when it is complete.
Is "when it is complete" equivalent with "sometime after it is complete", or "shortly after it is complete", or "within a week after it is compelte", or any of combination of time periods "after it is complete"? The Webster's definition of "when" that seems most fitting for the context used in the sentence is "just at the moment that". Perhaps Logos phrased the listing improperly, or did not consider fully what the simple word "when" communicates in this context. I will not be the first to cast a stone here, as I have certainly erred similarly many times. But please, Logos, communicate with us. Since the upgrade has clearly not been delivered automatically "just at the moment that" it is complete, tell us when it will be delivered.

Every time a "large" download comes, the release ends up being staggered. From posts in this thread, it is my understanding that both those who have paid for the upgrade and those who owned the previous resource have already started receiving the download. Remember: Patience is a virtue…
alabama24 is correct, I have had the older Age's version and the new Logos version has already downloaded.

Waiting...waiting...
Yes, indeed.
still waiting?
Yes! Is anyone else?
still waiting? Yes! Is anyone else?
4.1MB Download this morning . . . but no Spurgeon's Sermons. [:(]
Yep, still waiting.

Everyone here probably already knows this but if you own the PDF version of Spurgeon's Sermons from AGES you will NOT get the free Logos upgrade. Only the Libronix version of the AGES product is entitled to the upgrade. I imagine you need to have the product in your Logos library to get the upgrade. Otherwise Logos has no way of knowing you own a license to it. Also, I would imagine if your copy is already registered (in your library) the website should show a greyed out box on the product page. If it does not, it would not be the first time the website failed to recognize a license.

Correct. In my case, I bought the Libonix version fom Logos, and the purchase still shows up in my order history. The same order should get me a free upgrade of the 1915 ISBE when it qualifies and is completed.

To test your theory I started another thread asking for replies from anyone who bought the new release and has not yet received it. If the's no response, which I believe will be the case, then I'd conclude your bandwidth theory highly unlikely.
The new Spurgeon files should be available later this morning. I apologize for the delay.
You know it makes our day when we hear from you![:D]
Thank you Kent!!
Always good to hear from you.
Mine downloaded. Thanks![Y]
I have the Ages/Libronix version and have entered "Update Resources" since Sunday. [:)] The updated Spurgeon sermons downloaded about an hour ago. It has finished indexing, and both versions are displayed in my library, inflating my total resource count by 63.

If you don't want to see both copies, you can hide the old ones. Directions to do that here.
Still no download for me, all very strange.
Same here.
Same here. Still waiting though.
Nothing here for me, either. (But for free, how can I complain?)
Good attitude. Thanks for making my day, that brought a smile to my face.[Y]

It has just downloaded for me, but I was bugging customer support so that may have something to do with it.
Proud to announce that as of 4:53pm PST, I am the proud recipient of the free Spurgeon Sermon Upgrade to the old Ages version.
Thanks Logos!
Just got home, checked and found the new Spurgeon volumes were ready to download.
Thank you Logos, for giving this new version to us for nothing.
They are so MUCH nicer looking, with the frontispiece etchings, CH's signature, beautiful typeface, a full table of contents. Beautiful.
(Don't forget to change their type from Journal.)
Very generous of you!

Got mine tonight. downloaded all to iPad using search script
Author:Spurgeon && title:pulpit
Old set was on iPad also. Removed those form iPad one at a time.
Downloaded in the second group of two major updates yesterday.
Anyone know any tricks to get the Library and Collection listings to list sequentially given Logos chose to use Roman numerals for the volume identifiers ?
Just got mine
Mark, is your parenthetical "Don't forget to change their type from Journal" directed to Logos or to forum members who have the Spurgeon upgrade? In any event, mine are showing up as "Manuscript." I wish they were "typed" as "Commentary," but I thought that was something that Logos determined.
