Garbled text-critical signs in NA 27 on Android
When I bring up NA 27 on my tablet (or phone) the text-critical signs do not display properly. I imagine this has already been discussed ... somewhere. However, I could not find it. Is there a resolution for this issue?

Hello William,
In some cases, downloading the resource can provide better display. You can do this by clicking the "i" in the top-right corner while reading the book. If this doesn't help, please provide me with a specific location where the problem occurs in the resource and I'll submit this to the development team.

What text-critical signs? Are you speaking of the SESB edition?

Hello Mike,
Thanks for your response. I tried downloading Na27 and the critical apparatus (NTG) but with the same resuluts. So for example, in Mark 1.1 the first pair of text-critical signs (in this case, those that specify a varient reading) display as "x" marks. In Mark 1.2 the relevant signs display as, in chronological order: a square box, a check mark, a square box, a square box, ending with an “x” at the end of the verse right after the second person, singular, personal pronoun.

Hi George,
See my reply to Mike today. I'm referring to the standard symbols used in listing varient readings, different order of words/phrases, etc. in the Nestle-Aland critical edition of the Greek New Testament (27th edition). These symbols refer the reader to the textual apparatus (in Logos, a seperate product/data base). The Na27 is, of course, is the same text in the SESB.

By the way, I love that Erasmus quote!! I think Amazon.com used to print it on the free bookmarks ... quite appropriate in our house!

Hi William,
Thanks for the report - a case has been written up and sent to our development team.

I just purchased the German Bible Society Bundle: Student Edition, and I am getting the same display problems with the NA27's critical signs. I am presently running Android 4.1.2 on an HTC One.
This problem was apparently first mentioned here.

Adam,
I'm having a little difficulty reproducing the display issue. Could you please provide the following additional info.
The book's resource ID as shown on the book info page. From the read view, tap to show the overlay then click the circled I in the upper right hand corner to open the book info details. At the very bottom of the popup the resource ID and resource date is shown. Please provide that info.
Also, if you could a specific place in the resource you see a display problem (screenshot would be very nice) that would help greatly in resolving the issue.

Thanks for the details, Adam.
The issue is now fixed internally and will be available in the next update.
