I consented to downloading Perseus Digital Library. It now takes up a volume in my library--way too much especially when using my iPad. How can I delete permanently Perseus Library.
Robert Kloosterhuis
I had to email Logos and tell them my dilemma. They then were able to remove the complete Perseus collection from my library.
I'm sure others will give you a more detailed reply but I believe you will have to painstakingly hide them in your library. That's what I had to do...From my understanding you won't be able to detail them but hiding should do the trick.
Good idea Erwin! [Y]
I believe you will have to painstakingly hide them in your library.
It's not painstaking anymore. You can hide many at once now:
You don't have to download them on your iPad, if that's the main issue.
It's not painstaking anymore. You can hide many at once now: Type "perseus" into the library window so it shows only Perseus books. Click on some empty space in the library window and then hit Ctrl+A (on Windows) to select all the visible resources. Hold down the Ctrl key while right clicking on the selected resources, and you'll get a menu with "Hide this resource" as a option. Select "Hide this resource" and then restart Logos.
My experience is that this is also too much work. I can remember attempting to remove the 1 by 1, then someone (cannot remember who. It may have been you, Todd) had a method to delete 10-15 at a time. That was even too much work, considering the 1000s upon thousand of Perseus resources. I eventually lost patience and contacted Logos, who was able to reverse the order.
I guess, in my case, it was a matter of curiosity and also being new to Logos at the time, it was the idea of "Wow, all of these resources for free". I very soon found out that I could not use (or even read) most of them at that time (and I'm not able to today). :-)
Before venturing on something like this again, I will wait for the ability to completely remove/hide any number of resources with 1 or 2 clicks. [:)]
You can hide them all (thousands) at once now. This is a relatively new feature in Logos (released in v4.6 at the end of August). It's practically no work at all. Be aware though, that there is no way to unhide more than one at a time.
This is good to know Todd, and thank you. This may be an easier or alternate option for Robert. Now, if we can get the unhide to coincide with the hide, it will be close to perfect. [:)]
Yep. I was testing out how many mouse-clicks it took. I used 'interlinear' for my test. The answer was as Todd mentioned, a single-click plus a menu selection (a second-click or key-arrow). That would qualify for Erwin's required 1-2 clicks. I almost did the second click and then remembered there's no easy undoing the damage since they're all mixed up in the 'trashcan'.

If you enter "Perseus" in you library, you can then highlight the entire group and move it to "Hidden" (I think).
This is a great enhancement to Logos4/5 since I installed Perseus and had to contact Logos to remove. I, myself, probably won't be downloading Perseus for awhile. Need to get a better grip on Greek first. [:)]
BTW: I think Logos is tweaking the forums a little. My posts are waiting for moderation. Don't know why.

This one got through.
