Reformation Study Bible app issues

I bought the Reformation Study Bible app on iTunes - http://itunes.apple.com/us/app/the-reformation-study-bible/id325182054?mt=8

The descrip[tion suggests that it will load all my other Logos books and purchases, but it will not load the FaithLife study notes. Also, I am surprised that I have effectively purchased the Reformation Study Bible, but it does not show up as a book in my other apps. iTunes won't give me a refund either - I want to be able to use all of my books/notes/bibles on one app - I thought this would do it (from the screenshots and limited information), but now it seems like I'd have to purchase the full price Reformation Study Bible notes on Logos if I want to be able to run it all on one app.

I don't want to leave a bad review on iTunes, but the app, while almost identical to the base Logos iOS app, doesn't work as expected.

Mike - I am not really familiar with this product, but it seems to me that you have discovered some of the intricacies of the APP store.

Products can have similar names, so beware. I believe that you purchased the wrong thing. There are two similar apps: Reformation Study Bible by Logos and THE Reformation Study Bible by AcroDesign (which you linked to). I do not know anything about either of these apps, except that the Logos app is basically the Logos mobile app with a license for the Reformation Study Bible thrown on top.

If you did purchase the right thing, you should also be aware that the RSB license may give you access to the resource ONLY in that particular app. I would not expect the license to transfer to other devices unless otherwise explicitly stated.

The Reformation Study Bible is $40 from Logos. The Logos RSB app is $20, but only $14 goes to Logos (I know this because the App store is very transparent. Apple gets a 30% cut of EVERYTHING sold in the store.) Logos isn't the only party involved, although they made the software. It looks like the other app might have been the "old" version that the publisher used, and they decided to change to Logos. That means that the license you purchased falls outside of the typical Logos structure.

As alabama24 said, it looks like you bought the wrong thing. If you want ANY Logos resource, that functions like all other Logos resources and works within all platforms of Logos' main software, you need to buy it from Logos.com. It will then be added to your library, and you can use it with the normal Logos iPhone/iPad apps. If what you want to purchase can't be purchased directly from the main Logos site, chances are it will not work with your library in your Logos software on any platform.

So neither of the items alabama24 posted from iTunes will work. Get the free Logos app from iTunes, and buy the resource from Logos.com.

I did get the RSB app produced by Logos (http://itunes.apple.com/us/app/reformation-study-bible/id501273559?mt=8), not the other one. It does read some books in, but not all of them. Not a great product if you are looking for any integration.

I need a little clarification.. if I were to buy the Logos RSB from the iTunes store, will I have this resource also in my Logos library? Other resources showed up with the normal Logos app and the Faithlife app - so why wouldn't this one, is how I'm thinking so far..

But I do see there are two of them - one from another company and one from Logos. So I'm hopeful, but I won't buy if it doesn't come into the library and sync all notes and bookmarks, etc...
