Took someone’s Bible file and globally removed all of the Bible text so that I could insert the text of a Bible that is not in Logos.

The Bible text that I am inserting looks ok but I am getting some compile errors.

The most likely cause is that when I removed the Bible text globally I goofed and removed a BIBLE milestone [or three]

What text can I insert to trigger a known error so that I will know if the other errors are before or after that deliberately inserted known error?

One error that I get is: but where is “bible.19.5.12”

[Warning] Consecutive duplicate Milestone Start for data-type bible: bible.19.5.12

[Warning] opening field bible that is already open.

[Warning] closing field bible that is already closed.

So bible.19 = Psalms and the complete reference is Ps 5:12

You can ignore those - I never found what caused that in a short file.

Update: My plans are to double the last verse in each book to cause a compile error at the end of each book so I can find my other errors

Now that I know how to find it I can fix it – am force fitting the KJV versification on a Bible that has many 'additional' verses in Daniel. Am using the KJV as a reference standard but not as an excellence standard as suggested by Dean Burgon in the 1880s. Notice that I said ‘additional’ not ‘extra’ [IMHO 'additional' or 'no corresponding text 'is a statement of fact (reference) where 'extra' or 'missing' is a statement of judgment (excellence)]. ))

After doubling the last verse of each book I found the book that started the problem

I then doubled that last verse of each chapter

I found a missing ‘{‘ {field when it should be {{field

I then reviewed the text in the compiled Bible and found as Bible text:

“1 THEN shall the kingdom of heaven be like to ten virgins: which taking their lamps went out to meet the bridegroom and the bride.{field-off:Bible}}”

I then tried searching for the ERROR by searching for ‘Bible’ – not found [in Logos]

I did find ‘field’ as in ‘field-off’ but ‘field’ is also found in many Bible texts.

It was found both as Basic and Bible search. In Bible search set to verses

Wiki has => http://wiki.logos.com/Bible_Verse_Maps#Daniel with some Bible versification maps with 'additional' verses in Daniel: e.g. DR, NAB, NABRE, VUL, ...

Personally tried to turn on Bible for a chapter then turn off at end of chapter. Some chapters needed Bible field turned off and on to avoid Personal Book warnings.

Thanks for the comments: BUT the DR versification works for the DR Challoner version but not for the 1582 version

When I do studies of the Deuterocanonical / Apocrypha I use more modern resources such as the NRSV, NABRE, [maybe even the DR Challoner version and am waiting for the NEB] but I am trying to input the RHEIMS NEW TESTAMENT of Anno Domini 1582 [[the pre Challoner version]]

As I stated in another thread I am trying to review the differences between the DR 1582 and the KJV so I am force fitting it into the KJV versification [[I may regret that decision latter]]

For example Psa 1:3 or in the DR 1582 Psa 1:3-4

3 (3) And he shall be as a tree, that is planted nigh to (f) the streams of waters, which shall give his fruit in his time:

(4) And (g) his leaf shall not fall: and (h) all things whatsoever he shall do, shall prosper.

Note that the DR Challoner version “goofed up” this verse by “correcting” it to match the KJV versification here:

Psa 1:3 And he shall be like a tree which is planted near the running waters, which shall bring forth its fruit, in due season. And his leaf shall not fall off: and all whatsoever he shall do shall prosper.
