Reading plan non-sync déjà vu
Many of us have experienced frustration in the past over our reading plans not syncing across devices. Thankfully, syncing has worked great for me for the past few months, but the last couple of days I'm out of sync again. The odd thing this time is that my iOS devices aren't even in sync with each other. Here's what I'm seeing today:
- L5 Mac: Caught up. Ready for tomorrow's Romans 4-7 Reading
- biblia.com: Caught up. Ready for tomorrow's Romans 4-7 Reading
- bible.faithlife.com: Caught up. Ready for tomorrow's Romans 4-7 Reading
- iPhone: Behind: Need to read Acts 27-28
- iPad: Behind: Need to read Acts 24-26
It's déjà vu on the reading plan problems of the past, except this time I have 3 different status reports. In the past the iPhone and iPad always showed the same progress status.
Anybody else experiencing this bug?

Yes, sync was working until today. Reading plan on iPad was fine but "behind" on the iMac. Finally got them updated but now after finding the list of reading plan schedule on iPad, it shows January 25th to be worked on tomorrow (27th). Daily listing on calendar on iMac is correct. Might be worthwhile to not even look at the "list" on iPad and just go directly to the relevant Bible chapter/verse for the day. I must admit that until today I didn't even realize the iPad had a "list".[*-)]
Janis, I doubt that your problem lies in starting January 3. You should be able to start it any day and it should sync across all devices. The reading plan function has historically allowed for starting a plan any day of the year. It's good that your plan is functioning properly on the iMac though. You should be able to keep going on your iMac and hopefully your iPad will "catch up" when the dev team fixes the bug.Just wondering if the problem is due to my not starting this reading plan until January 3rd - might account for iPad "list" date being off by two days?

Hi Brad,
Thanks for the report. We have been able to reproduce the issue but are still trying to nail down exactly why this is happening and under what circumstances. I will keep this thread updated as I learn more. Thanks!
There was a bug in the last version that affected some users… but a new version came out this week. What version are you on?

I believe those should be the latest production releases of the iOS app and the Mac application.
You are up to date. Ugh. I wish it were that simple. [:S]
You probably have read this and know it… Sometimes the app needs a kick start to sync (although it has gotten much better). Have you tried killing the app via the multi-task bar and reopening the app?

Update: Powering off the iOS devices and restarting them didn't help.
Sorry to hear that Brad. I know that there is another issue which is supposed to be resolved in the next release… perhaps this is part of that. Hopefully Logos will chime in after the weekend.

I am experiencing the same non-sync problem. I usually do my reading on my iPad. Since last Thursday, neither my iPhone or my MBP reflect the reading updates. The reading plan on documents.logo.com is up to date. So I am assuming it is not an iPad problem as much as a Logos server issue.
What version of the apps are you running?

I am running all of the latest versions:
MBP - 5.0b (5.0.2.0556)
iPhone - 3.2.0 (3.2.0.1979)
iPad - 3.2.0 (3.2.0.1979)
I finished some reading plans early on Friday and Saturday. I had the desktop app open for some studies on Sunday for several hours so syncing has occurded multiple times on several notes and documents. This morning on the iPad, after a few hours of use doing emails and some other web browsing, I launch the L5 iPad app and find that none of my reading plans have been updated.
I have shut the app down twice and restarted the iPad once between the two. Still no sync of the reading plans.
L5 desktop is the 5.0b RC1 and the iPad L5 is the latest 3.2.0 (3.2.0.1979)
Since both of you are running 5.0b, I am going to take a wild guess and say that the issue resides there. I am running 5.0a, SR4.

Probably but it must be specific to L5.0b and Logos on the iPad because my Faithlife app and Verbum app are both sync'd on the iPad while Logos is not.
It's not specific to L5.0b or iOS.
I'm running 5.0a SR4 and the latest version of the app on Android (Nexus 7). My Nexus 7 is up to date, but my L5 install on my laptop has been out of sync since Friday (1/25), showing that I'm behind as of that date. My tablet, phone & biblia.com are all still in sync & current.

No dis-Respect LaRosa,
But don’t you work for the other guy across the street? Just thought I would ask…
DISCLAIMER: What you do on YOUR computer is your doing.
Yes, I presently work for Olive Tree, and previously WORDsearch (until earlier this month). That being said, I'm just as much a Logos user as you guys [:)]. I'm very passionate about Bible software.
