5.0b Release Candidate 1 (5.0.2.0556) is available for download. An RC is considered a stable version.
To update to 5.0b RC 1, enter the Update Now command if you’ve switched to the beta channel before, or enter the Set Update Channel to Beta command if you’re on a stable version (such as 5.0a SR-4).

Just upgraded to 5.0b RC 1, and I notice doing a "Close All" does not return to the Home Page, it just blanks the whole layout. This is true even if you start from the Home Page, open a resource, then do Close All. You get a blank layout. I then have to hit the Home icon to get the Home Page again.
I use Logos by starting from the Home Page, doing work, and returning to it. Did the behavior of Close All have to change?

Fred, I'm not getting any sync errors in my installation. Perhaps it's something special to your installation that's causing it.
I think you'd get more attention if you posted in a separate thread about this. Your last post in the original thread you started made it sound like your problem was fixed. I would add to that thread that it's not fixed. Of course, if it's a data issue with your account then you might have to wait until you're back on the released version and call support.

This appears to be a bug on the Windows platform; the Mac app behaves as you describe. I'll make a case for the issue.

I'm on Mac (stable), and for me Close All has always given me a blank layout. Which is most definitely what I want it to do. I'll be very mad if it starts taking me to the home page.

I'm on Windows Beta and. like fgh, would say that Close All has always given a blank layout - so was surprised to see this behaviour flagged as a bug.
Again, like fgh, I would like this behaviour to continue and the "Close All" command simply resulting in a blank layout.

The way it used to work is "BOTH" - if you started from a blank screen when you began to open resources, Close All returned to the blank screen. If you started from the Home Page and began to open resources, Close All returned to the Home Page. The latter functionality was removed in 5.0b, hence my bug report.

Believe I saw the behavior Don describes in the very early days of L4. Then, I learned to disable show homepage at startup and never saw that particular scenario again. So, I have no idea when it changed.
