Logos iOS on iPad Bug related to 1000 Bible Images

You can search for an image with the search capability. This is cool, but then you can not view it. It opens up a page of images, but none of them is the one you searched for. If you open the 1000 Bibles Images and use the table of contents, you also can not find it. It might be there, but the table of contents is useless. The only way to use this resource is to use search since the table of contents is also useless in Logos 5. They could help things if they supported an alphabetical table of contents, at least then you can navigate to your search results.

I am running on an 1st generation iPad and the latest iOS 5. iOS 6 is not supported on this model.

    Hey Doug!

    1. I can confirm that clicking on search results doesn't actually take you to the page with image. I am unsure if this is a "bug" or a "resource limitation."
    2. I agree it would be helpful to look up pictures by an alphabetical subject list. You should make that suggestion in the suggestions forum.
    3. I agree that the TOC is less helpful than it could be, but I wouldn't say it is "useless." You can, after all, browse each page's contents. (press the arrow on the right of the page line to open the sub directory.)

Thanks for your quick reply. I call it useless, because I can not find the image I am looking for. Can you tell me where in the table of contents I can find a floor plan for the tabernacle? Going thru 1000 images manually is not doable. I went thru the list twice and I can not find it, but I found it on logos 5 with a quick search. So picture me in a bible study and a question comes up, and I know there is an image that could quickly answer this question, but then I waste 10 minutes looking for it with 2 logos.app crashes and still do not find it. I should have walked out to my car and got my laptop. I have a 1st generation iPad and Logos does not run well on it. I had 3 crashes during last weeks sermon. It had one just reproducing the problem for this bug report.

OK. I'll concede that it is mostly worthless. [:P]

Actually, I have a theory. I bet that the Table of Contents IS in alphabetical order… in German. [;)]

Hopefully Logos will chime in. My guess is that it is a resource specific issue… but I agree it would be good to fix.

    Hi Doug,

Thanks for reporting the search issue, I'll write up a case and send it to our development department.  The Android version of the app works as expected with this resource so it appears to be an app issue on the iOS side.
