Logos 5 & iPad4; Problems?
Considering updating to Logos 5 in the next day or two, but does Logos 5 change my Bible! (Logos) App on my iPad or just on my HP laptop? Obviously, it will increase the number of books, but I mean the layout or how the App works on the iPad4? I will upgrade to Silver. Anything I should be aware of? Thank you.

Logos 5 can refer to the desktop app and/or a base package... But has no relevance for the mobile app. If you upgrade, you will have new resources on mobile, but no new features.

Hi Bev,
If you upgrade to Logos 5 on your laptop, nothing will change on your iPad.

Logos 5 is an improvement upon Logos 4 in terms of software and features. L5 base packages have been reworked (for good or bad is user preference), but if you already have a base package, getting a new base package will add the new resources and features... You won't lose your old ones. FYI - the L4 base package name you own (i.e. "platinum") is irrelevant to the L5 base package you should purchase. I personally own L4 "platinum" and L5 "gold." I would like a higher package but current finances won't allow it.

Bev,,,if you go with Silver also have sales include the Bible Sense database ( was a little less than seven dollars for me). that way you will have all the database sets
Hey Alabama!!! is this a fair assesment? I would like a higher package but current finances won't allow it. Seens to me with all those apples you own must have depleted all your funds!

The L5 installation will write over the L4… and unlike L3 (Libronix), there isn't any real reason to keep L4 around on your user account. Purchasing a new base package will give you 1) new resources, 2) new features, and 3) a slightly changed UI. The overall effect, however, feels "familiar" (in a good way).

Thank you. Now I understand it better. I thought going from L4 to L5 was like the L3 to L4. What a relief to know this.
I was hesitant to upgrade because I don't have the extra time to learn a new program/layout like going from L3 to L4.
Will L3 stay on my laptop? I'll check but I could still have that on my laptop.

I have L3 and L5 on the same machine and they run fine without any conflicts. L5 overwrites L4 but doesn't touch L3.

Oh, I just thought of this ...If I update L3 licenses after I have L5 on my laptop, will the new L5 books appear in L3?

I don't know, sorry. Certainly not any "new" resources. (By "new" I mean "new" to Logos, not "new" to you… Logos has stopped creating "new" resources compatible with L3).

One more thing...I just remembered an earlier Post about the Book of Enoch. What book(s) did you say contains that? Maybe that will be included in Silver or Gold and help me make my decision.
Is it this one The Apocrypha and Pseudepigrapha of the Old Testament in English.

You can find a copy of that text in Pseudepigrapha of the Old Testament. Edited by Charles, Robert Henry.
