Logos 5 Mac - Crash after switching books or doing search, or other tasks

I am running Mac OS 10.8.2 (and Kaspersky Security, if that's relavant).

I have a 2012 MBP 2.5 Ghz, 8 GB RAM, 500GB Hard Drive (85GB available).

Attached is my logging file.

Logos crashes relatively soon after starting, after using various tools/commands, like switching books, doing a search and sometimes it just crashes on it own quietly while running in the background.

The Crash Log show a "too many open files" error which has been the source of multiple crashes in L5 Mac. This has been fixed in 5.0b RC-1 which should be released to the stable channel in the next few weeks. This is rather stable if you would like to try the Beta version.

Don't believe the error is necessarily related to number of resources open, but to some operations within Logos. Some searches can open multiple files, and this may exceed the limit. In any case, the problem appears fixed in 5.0b.

One option while waiting for 5.0b stable release is working off-line, which avoids lots of open files for syncing.

Another option is changing to beta channel for Release Candidates, then switch back to stable when a Release Candidate is declared Gold; wiki has => http://wiki.logos.com/The_Logos_5_Beta_Program

Anticipating Logos 5.0b Release Candidate 2 later this month with more bug/crash fixes. Concur Logos 5.0b Release Candidate 1 on OS X 10.8.2 has not crashed with "Too Many Open Files" while 5.0b Beta 1 and Beta 2 releases had numerous "Too Many Open File" crashes.
