My brand new Logos 5 upgrade keeps crashing all the time – whenever pressing "GO", "layouts", opening the library, etc. Log files are attached.
Please help!

Hello Johnny,
I apologize for the trouble. I think something corrupted in your local preferences file. You can possibly repair this by renaming that file (just add a 1):
/Users/johnnylithell/Library/Application Support/Logos4/Documents/dc6mj4jx.azn/Documents/LocalUserPreferences
If that doesn't resolve the issue, please contact support at 1(800)875-6467 and we'll have a closer look at it.
Hello Mike,
Thanks for your reply. I couldn't find the file in that location. I did however rename the folder LocalUserPreferences in the "dc6mj4jx.azn"-folder. (I attach a printscreen so you see what I mean.) No improvement, though.
Do you have any other advice or should I call support? (Calling support is a little problematic due to time difference)

Johnny: Not quite sure why you did not find that file. One question: Were you able to find the Library folder? In Mac OS 10.7 and higher, that folder is normally invisible. You can make it visible in the Finder by clicking on the Go Menu and depressing the Option key.

Try the same with user preferences folder /Users/johnnylithell/Library/Application Support/Logos4/Documents/dc6mj4jx.azn/UserPreferences.
It worked! Great! Thanks, guys!

Unfortunately I have to open up this thread again – the problem keeps coming back. When I rename the file UserPreferences Logos5 works fine once (maybe twice) but then the problem with all the crashes comes back. Is there any way to make a more "complete" solution? Remove everything and start over?
Just upload some logs as before so we can see if there is a new issue.
Attached.

Try the change to both UserPreferences and UserPreferences2 (both at /Users/johnnylithell/Library/Application Support/Logos4/Documents/dc6mj4jx.azn). If that doesn't work you should contact Logos Support.

Did this work for you, Johnny?
Unfortunately not. Now it won't even start – it crashes on startup.
I might also mention that I have the same problem (with the recurring crashes on various commands in Logos 5) on both my iMac and MacBook.
Sorry about my late response, I've had some intense days.
Johnny - I would advise you to contact Logos at your convenience.
If you start Logos with a blank layout, open preferences and set both "Show Search Bookmarks" and "Show Auto and Favorite Bookmarks" to "No", you should be able to use the application normally. A fix for this issue will be in the next update.
set both "Show Search Bookmarks" and "Show Auto and Favorite Bookmarks" to "No"
That worked wonderfully! Thanks!
This issue is fixed in 5.0b SR-1.
