Bug RC1: Mobile Device Sync & Duplicate Devices

Brisa Calderon said:You will have to fix this manually by removing one of the devices on
your Account page on Logos.com. If this problem reoccurs after you
remove the device, please let us know.
Dave Hooton said:Well, this was a well kept secret. I trust it will be documented soon.
The duplicated device is samsung GT-I9000. I went to my
Account settings, deleted the device that showed both Vyrso and Logos
apps in the ESV bible Information, then renamed the other device and
saved it. After 15 min nothing has changed in the desktop RC1. I
reopened the ESV twice, then restarted Logos to finally get the change.
This should also be documented.Whether I deleted the correct duplicate remains to be seen...
After correcting and renaming my device as above I set ACNT Revelation to be downloaded from desktop, updated the Bible app on my phone and restarted the app. But ACNT did not get downloaded, though I did receive updates to two bibles. So I manually downloaded ACNT to the phone and then checked the desktop app, which still showed correctly that I had one device with the correct name!

ACNT was already checked because I had wanted it downloaded to the phone. So I downloaded Escape the Coming Night (D Jeremiah) to the phone and waited for the box to be checked in the desktop - a wait that was in vain, despite two restarts.

Also downloaded Everyman's Bible Commentary Revelation (Ryrie) but that hasn't changed anything on the desktop either.

I downloaded a resource from within the Android Bible app and - after sync had completed - this did get reflected back to the desktop.
However, to cause a resource to be downloaded to the phone after configuring it in the desktop required a force stop and restart of the Android app (whether it would have happened automatically if I had left it long enough is another question!)

And as per discussion at http://community.logos.com/forums/p/65082/455402.aspx#455402 there seems to be some issues with trying to "undelete" resources from the iPad.

Neither case works for me, so the feature definitely has problems.

I would like to know if the Mobile Device feature is working properly. If it is then what do I (and others**) with this legacy issue need to do to get it working?

Hi Dave,
There is definitely an issue or two here. I've written up one case and sent it to our development department. Further cases will probably follow. Thanks for the report.
