Reference filtering question - 2.3.2 Beta

The 2.3.2 beta introduces support for reference filtering - described as:

"Bible searches support reference filtering in online and offline modes"

This is a really welcome feature and will be very useful.

A few questions:

I see how to enter a Biblical book but I can't generate a more finely tuned range using the verse picker - although I can by typing it in directly. Is this how it is supposed to work?
There are some pre-built ranges some of which support the "booka - bookb" construct. I can, again, build these manually using the keyboard. Is it the intention that we will be able to build ranges like this using the verse picker?
While experimenting with this I saw that when conducting a Bible search and using the dropdown to select which Bible to search in some commentaries were offered as target options (but didn't return any results). Presumably they are being offered as they have Bible indices but surely they should be excluded here?

Yes, it's working as designed. There is currently not an option for finer grained ranges on either iOS or Android when using the Verse picker.

Yes, you already can. Just tap on the + button at the upper right to create your own.

I agree, I don't think they should be included - I'll talk with the Dev team. Thanks for the report!

On Android devices running Android 3.0+, you can long press on a book in the verse picker and "click and drag" to select a range of books. Like Kevin said, however, there is not support for finer grained control using the verse picker on either iOS or Android. We do support entering more fine grained ranges manually into the text field such as "Gen 2:2 - Lev 4:1".

That's useful to know - my phone is currently running Android 2.x
