Word of the day: apocatastasis ... or what dictionaries do you wish were in Logos?

Apocatastasis: The belief that all living entities will
eventually attain Heaven, including individuals sent to Hell, Satan,
demons, etc. Hell will thus eventually be cleared of all of its
inhabitants. This is considered a heresy by most Christian
denominations. One meaning of the term "universalism" is similar to "Apocatastasis,"
and is a lot easier to pronounce.

Luigi Sam has suggested WordNet which I enjoy, and I think we can assume everyone would like the Oxford English Dictionary.I know we are short a decent Latin dictionary. It seems like there should be more complete dictionaries of religious terms ... What dictionaries do you suggest?

Lewis and Short is on Community Pricing. The Oxford Latin Dictionary had been on prepub but was pulled. I would suggest that everyone go to http://www.logos.com/product/16014/lewis-and-shorts-latin-dictionary and pretend you are in Chicago (bid early and bid often).

Interesting concept and word, although it is based in error. The word is not as difficult to pronounce as it might first appear. If you divide the root words it becomes much easier to pronounce. Here is the rendering apo/cata/stasis. I leave the investigation of the roots up to the reader

I came upon an old friend that I used like water in my Valley of Baca experience. This was at a time when I did not have access to my Logos software and wore out my The Hebrew - Greek Key Study Bible KJV edited by Spiros Zodhiates and this book which is now available in Logos format: http://www.logos.com/product/26428/american-dictionary-of-the-english-language

I know that you stated it, and it is of course assumed, but I would reiterate that it is a shame that we do not have the OED. I would imagine that many people would jump at the chance to have it in Logos. It would benefit all involved.

Hi George,

I infer from this statement that you believe licensing may be an issue going forward. Although OED is a wonderful work I don't see it as being essential for a religious scholars library.

Upon the hour it becomes useful I would simply head to my local library of choice and use their's. Also I am sure you are privy to the knowledge that OED is available through OUP in several different formats here:
