Good exegetical commentary on Psalms?
Can you recommend a Good exegetical commentary on Psalms?
I was reading Psalm 2 and compared a number of translations and noted different ways they translated verses 11 and 12.
The NET Bible is terrifying !

I read somewhere that the NIV Application Commentary (the Psalms volume in particular) was actually really good exegetically. I haven't checked it out myself though. And I can't find (or remember) where I read it now.

IMHO many of the available commentaries on the Psalms are not that thorough. You may want to check out the Word Biblical Commentaries on the Psalms (3 vols).
Leupold's commentary on the Psalms is a one volume work that is pretty good as well. However I believe that it is available only in a set of his works here: http://www.logos.com/product/5380/h-c-leupold-commentary-collection

The Goldingay mention is a good one. Probably the "best" technical commentary currently available on the Psalms that is complete.
I say that because, personally, I think Hossfeld & Zenger (Hermeneia) will be the top technical commentary on the Psalms as soon as it is complete. (Currently, Psalms 51-100 are covered if you buy the Continental/Hermeneia package, and you can buy Psalms 101-150 separately as part of a Hermeneia upgrade; Psalms 1-50 has yet to be published.)
Currently, I tend to look at Goldingay and Kraus (Continental) when working in the Psalms. James Mays' Interpretation commentary (and J. Clinton McCann's NIB commentary – not available for Logos yet, sadly) is outstanding, too, though it's theological rather than technical.
The Word recommendation is fine, too, but I've always found Craigie, Allen, and Tate to be inconsistent – Hossfeld & Zenger and Goldingay are both better choices, in my opinion.
One more that I've found helpful – Geoffrey Grogan's Two Horizons commentary. (Again, though, more theological and not technical, so may not be what you're looking for.)

Not a complete commentary, but Mitchell's is the best approach I've seen-- in the same vein as Vos' old "eshatology of the psalter" article in PTR c.1920
