Includes Logos Maps Deluxe Set and a bunch of additional resources!
I doubt it will get any lower than this.

This is the cost of the disc sold at the Abc stores
Had to smile at this. In North Carolina, The state is in the distilled spirits retail business, and ABC stands for Alcoholic Beverage Commission. [8-|]
I tried Google with "ABC" Got lots of hits like:
American Broadcasting Company
Associated Builders and Contractors
Alcoholic Beverage Control
American Board for Certification in Orthotics
But it is most likely this one:
Adventist Book Center.
Lynden,
may I suggest - tongue-in-cheek smiley missing here - an alternative advertisement slogan? [;)]
NIV 1984 bundle on sale! Only $82.50!
It may well be that some people buy it for this reason....
Hoping to bring a smile on your face,

Nice marketing Mick. I could use you as a consultant.
[:)] I should've cited your original post, though.
We moved to western North Carolina about 9 months ago. We first encountered an ABC store in Asheville and thought it was a educational store... until we noticed the bottles in the window. Terrible naming convention. [:D]

In reality, I have a friend (A retired SDA pastor.) He actually frequents the liquor outlet fishing for souls. This should not surprise you, though. He also fishes at several Baptist Churches ! [:D]
Is this the only way to now buy the NIV 1984 from Logos?
I believe so...
I did manage to find a copy of the NIV Anglicised Version (based on the 1984 text) on a Libronix CD-ROM on Amazon and unlocked it in my library. There may be some other Libronix CD-ROM packages knocking about which might contain the NIV 1984. That said, I don't think you'd get it much cheaper than $82.50 if there were a lot of resources in those bundles.
Be aware that The Seventh-day Adventist Bible Commentary Expanded Edition comes on CD and is designed for Libronix 3. It requires some effort to get it to play well with Logos 4 or 5. (Tagging is not compatible.) I have my copy residing on L3. It simply works better there. Oh no ! That sounded like DMB ! [:D]
Another issue: There are literally hundreds of Mrs. White's personal letters included. (all with an individual title) Unless you are proficient at organizing the library, this can clutter things up quite a bit. ... A miniature Persius.

Apparently not anymore… the resource info page says that it is a digital download.

]I stand corrected. When I bought mine it was only available on CD. Note the resource info image specifies "3.0"
Even the cd worked well in Logos 4. Just call in the cd key and it will be unlocked on your account. We even have book covers in L4/L5.

It is the Third release of the product by Review and Herald Publishing Association
[about 412 total resources - If that is the only resources you download on that given day -goto Library, sort by Last update, Select all updated that day, select the data information and tag all with SDA or EGW] Latter un-tag the NIV 84
Would also need to untag Handbook for Bible Study by Lee.
Thanks for the help...I just wanted potential buyers to be aware of the issues. [:)]

When I was a teen, you could get better prices at designated farmhouses here in Randolph County—some of the product was even made on the premises [:D]
We are doing a fair job of hijacking Lyden's thread [H]
I always thought ABC stood for "Always Be Closing" [;)]

Full name is Lee J. Gugliotto who gives some good advise:
In your study of God’s Word, avoid incomplete conclusions. Don’t isolate a passage from what comes before or after it in the text. Instead, get the whole picture. To do this you will need to acquaint yourself with the context, the entire body of text surrounding a passage, which sheds light on its meaning.

From what my sales person told me, this collection used to be more expensive; so now may be the right time to purchase it before they run out and then there might not be any other way to get the NIV 1984 edition. I got mine today along with other resources plus the NIV 2011 for comparison. Plus, I'm studying with some 7th-Day Adventist and it's nice to have their actual perspective of things instead of what others have written about what they believe.

Forgive me for showing up late and asking what may be anoverly simply question. I just bought Logos 5 Bronze, to discover that I cannoteven buy the Bible translation I have been using for decades-NIV84. So, I'm nowscrambling (like many others) to find some way to get a copy (mind you, I’vebought four digital copies over the years). That led me to this thread.
I don’t really want to pay $83 for this, but if that’s myonly option, I may have to take it. However, when I read the description of thepackage in the link, I don’t see anything NIV listed. I certainly don’t want tobuy this and find it’s not there, or that it’s buried in some Adventistresource that’s hard to use.
So…if I buy this, will the NIV 84 be there and will I beable to use it in the way I could use and access any other Bible?
Thanks!
A,
welcome to the forum!
Unfortunately it seems Logos took the NIV 84 out of this package - at least it was on the page when I looked last and isn't right now.
Maybe you'll need to verify with Logos customer support.

Since I don't know if they took out the NIV84 from the download version now... there still is the option of buy the CD-ROM
You won't have instant access because it will need to be shipped but it's 46 cents less at this link: http://www.adventistbookcenter.com/seventh-day-adventist-bible-commentary-cd-rom-version-3-0-expanded-edition.html ($82.49 with free shipping).
Naturally it won't say NIV84 because it's copyrighted 2006. But I hope when one calls with the serial Logos won't take out the 84 edition.

Also, for those who have resource(s): does anyone know if there is a difference from the 2.2 edition (I think that's the one I bought and this 3.0)?
Had to smile at this. In North Carolina, The state is in the distilled spirits retail business, and ABC stands for Alcoholic Beverage Commission.
How about "Alcoholic Beverage Consumption"? [:P]
OH MY GOODNESS! They took it out! PHEWWW!!!! I'm sure glad I got my copy last week before it was pulled out of the package. Oh mine! I'm stupefied! I can't believe it's no longer there. Even my sales person said they no longer sold the 1984 Version but that this was a nice trick to still be able to get it and now it's no longer available. What a shame! I think Logos could've been making a lot of money if they had kept the NIV 1984 in that package, because many would've bought that collection for the NIV 1984 alone. Oh well, I'm sorry for the ones that still want it and somehow are not able to get it anymore no matter how much the scrape here and there to find one.
Anyway, all I need now to be somewhat complete is the Reverse Interlinear for my 1984 Edition of the NIV both Old and New Testaments. Somehow only the RI for the 2011 NT edition is showing.
Blessings and sorry for those who missed out on it,
Thank you for posting this information. I had about given up hope of getting my preferred Bible version in Logos format until I saw your link and ordered the disk from the Adventist Book Center directly. Got it five days after ordering it. Had no trouble loading it to my computer yesterday and it shows up perfectly in my Logos 4 program. What a relief! Yes, it did cost me more than $80 to get the NIV 1984, but to me it was worth the cost to have the Bible I used for a quarter of a century available in my Logos library. Thank you!
A cheaper option would be...
The NIV 1984 (Anglicised)
http://www.logos.com/product/29979/the-holy-bible-new-international-version-anglicised
P A
Cheaper, yes, but the anglicised NIV won't work with the RI.
It's my understanding that neither will the $80 bundle. If a user's base package came with the NIV RI, then they would actually already own the NIV. [;)]

Base package, yes, but not if they own the RI through the L4 MC.

MC = Master Collection? Would that have come with the RI but not the bible?
Minimal Crossgrade!
Well, just for old times sake I got the cheapo NIV84 the one with the foreign words (anglicized). I don't know what I'll do without the RI. I'm completely lost.
Actually, the new one 'seems' a bit more 'brave'. Below is Pro 8.30 before/after. From Fox in AYB-PRO 'This verse has provided one of the great puzzles of the Hebrew Bible because of its theological implications.' Most translations have some type of carpenter up there in heaven (hmmm). But of course the newer NIV also fails to clearly identify those that would benefit from using their head more (the 'sons').

Had to smile at this. In North Carolina, The state is in the distilled spirits retail business, and ABC stands for Alcoholic Beverage Commission Oh dear. Don't despair. If you come to North Carolina, Go ahead and check out the ABC Liquor stores. You will likely find more "Christians" there, than at the ABC Book Store. In reality, I have a friend (A retired SDA pastor.) He actually frequents the liquor outlet fishing for souls. This should not surprise you, though. He also fishes at several Baptist Churches !

How many Baptists should you take on your fishing trip?
At least two. If you just take one, he'll drink all your beer.
[:$] Duh. [:)]
The cost is up to 199.95. You snooze you lose.
Still $82.49 for the CD at the the distributor that has been mentioned.
but to note, the Bible is not $82, it's for a collection that includes a 7-volume commentary, Bible dictionary, encyclopedia, atlas, and map set + tons of other books and material (of which the NIV84 is included)
Wow...costumers searching out old Libronix releases willing to pay over 80 dollars and jumping through hoops just for the NIV84. This goes to show just how much of a debacle Biblica's decision was.
A cheaper option would be... The NIV 1984 (Anglicised)
Why does it cost only 10 Dollars? I remember spending 30 pounds on the Libronix version.
At some point last year, Logos made a concerted effort to lower the price on a bunch of bibles. Perhaps the price was adjusted then?

Is this version really the classic NIV84, just with British spellings of certain words? I, too, have been looking for the NIV84 and certainly wouldn't mind dealing with spelling variations as long as it's basically the same thing.
Yes Classic NIV 1984 with British spelling.
There might be the odd word which is substituted. i.e we Brits don't use the word rooster.
You will hardly notice the difference.

That's good news! Thanks for the info! Lol at the bold. I'll try to avoid reading Luke 22:34 in this version in public then... or at a youth event.
