View history in faith study bible
When I view a verse and then go to another verse, how do I quickly go back to the previous verse

In the navigation menu, there is a "left pointing" triangle icon. If you press the button, it will take you back. Optionally, you can press and hold the button, which will bring up a history menu.

So I need to go back to the home page, correct? The top left button?

No. The button just to the right of the "home page" button is the "left pointing" arrow (history) button.
