Pasting Into OpenOffice.org

Also, I think most users would tell you it is better to use Libre Office:

I'll look into both things.
LibreOffice hasn't worked very well for me, for some reason. I do have MSOffice ordered, but wish I could work with something other than that.

When I paste Bible verses into OpenOffice.org, this is what I get.
Why? And what must I do to change it so that I only get the Bible text and reference?
Jason,
This probably won't help much, but when I paste copied text into Open Office (Writer) 3.3, this my result. The top paragraph is the end of the pasted text when using Ctrl+V -- the footnote is at the bottom of the page. The second paragraph is the result when I paste via Ctrl+SHIFT+V, then ask that unformatted text be pasted.

Bill,
How does it do with Bible verses?

I use LibreOffice 3.x and 4.0 and have never seen your results in either Normal Paste or Special Paste. The only issue I've seen is that when pasting another language into LO I have to mark it as another language in LO so the spellchecker doesn't flag it. In 4.0 there is a drop down on the bottom status bar that will change it without using menus.

Jason,
The example I attached in the image in my previous post included nothing but Bible verses. Perhaps I don't understand your question?
Blessings,
Bill

Sorry, I was looking only at the length of the citation, and paid too little attention.
