indexing

i had to reinstall logos4 because i had to do a system restore. it
loaded no problem however it is not indexed nor did it start indexing.
when i search it says it is not index and nothing shows up. how can i
get it to index when it is not doing it automatically? thanks

Okay, this is a guess. Don't know if it will work or not. But it's easy enough to try:

Type update resources into the command bar, and let it run (it will take a few minutes to complete). It may start the indexing automatically, or it may find a resource to update which it would download and then start indexing for you.

If that doesn't work, report back.

Don't know if this helps, but the other day I clicked on the search button and there was a message that I had 16 sources not indexed and it gave me the opportunity to index again...I'm a newer user, so just try it and see if you get that message.

I bet the all the old files didn't get deleted from the system restore and Logos is confused.

Try deleting the contents of this folder (I'm on Win 7, so yours might be a little different)

C:\Users\<User Name>\AppData\Local\Logos4\Data\<Random>\LibraryIndex

Restart Logos. It might see that it doesn't have an index and re-index.

If this doesn't work, I would uninstall Logos and then manually delete the Logos 4 folder and then reinstall.

I had the same problem and spent hours trying to figure it out.

I removed the "LibraryIndex" file, just like you explained and it is re-indexing perfectly.

A20 was supposed to reindex and it never did for me. Tried this trick and it worked like a charm the path for MAC is user/Library/Application Support/Logos4/Data/random/LibraryIndex
