ESV Text Search Highlight Issue

I was doing a search on Greek words and had the results displayed in a few different Bibles - the English word "mountain" was highlighted in the different versions except for ESV - odd parts of the verse were highlighted even though the actual English word "mountain" was right there. It seems like an index is messed up.

typing "rebuild bible index" in the command bar has fixed some of these type problems for me in the past.

If rebuilding the index doesn't help, it could be that you are suffering from a bug that's long corrected, but that in a certain version prevented the resource file update of the preferred bible.

the current resource information for ESV should be

check the dates! If yours are older, you need to run the command update resources once - it will detect the outdated files and download the current ones. After indexing these the problem should be gone.

Thanks for the suggestion - I tried it twice but the problem still remains. Any other suggestions? Is there a way to remove and redownload a book to "reset" it?

Left click the little I icon on the book and look for the date.

While this will works to enforce a redownload of the current version of the resource, Bradley (Mark: Logos Manager) earlier this week wrote that the command Update Resources will be sufficient to force the download of the current version if the existing one is simply outdated (as opposed to corrupt). This saves closing and restarting Logos multiple times.

You can't "fix" a corrupt resource… you have to get rid of it. Have you tried hiding it and unhiding it? I don't think Mick wasn't saying that wouldnt work, but rather it was unnecessary if an update was all that was needed. The other solution is to get into the guts of the Logos folders and to actually delete the file.

Alabama, I have tried hiding and unhiding to no avail. The problem is not a big one. If I try to click on the timeline entry for "Jebus" marked as the 13th century B.C. Logos 5 shuts down. It only seems to happen with that entry and on my computer. It works fine on my wife's computer. That leads me to believe I have a corrupt copy of the ISBE.

It could be a corrupt timeline. Remove UniversalTimeline.lbsut from your resources folder & restart Logos.

It's definitely connected with the Timeline, but you'll have to contact Tech Support to resolve it (quote this thread).

I have, Dave. They have had an active file on this since 11/21/12. I haven't heard from them since 12/03/12. I guess they are stumped. It is a problem I can live with. Thanks for trying.
