Logos Android not syncing highlights
I have an Android Tablet (4.0.4 ), an iPhone (iOS6.1.2) and a laptop PC (Windows 7). Previously I could sync across devices when highlighting.
Sometime during this last week, I highlighted quite a bit with the Inductive tools on the Android Tablet. This did not sync with the iPhone or laptop. When I tried to highlight on the laptop it synced with the Iphone but not with the Android tablet. Is there anything that I should know or do or try? I would really not like to loose the work done on the Android.

Hi Gaby,
Please make sure the network connection on your Android device is functioning properly and that you are not in Airplane mode. Also, have you tried stopping the Android app and restarting it? That will force a sync.
Using Logos 2.3.4 I created Inductive highlights on two Android devices (4.0.3 and 4.1.1), and they synced properly to Logos 3.2.3 on iOS and Logos 5.0b SR-2 on Windows 7. I also went offline on one of the Android devices and created new inductive highlights, then went back online and they synced properly to all devices.
Please let me know if this helps, or if it doesn't.

I also have sync problems like the Gaby's. I tried emptying the cache on my Android (4.0.4 on a Samsung 10.1 Tablet). I changed my password so that the tablet would have to re-sync to access the account. The tablet accesses and keeps up on all counts except in the bible markup. It is like I have two separate Bibles with two separate markups. I have tried online and offline. I've tried notes on my Samsung phone, on my Vyrso app for Android, on my Windows 7, and on my networked Windows NT at church. They all sync with each other, but not with the Android 4.0.4.
It was fine at first, but then it stopped, after I did a lot of markup with a variety of highlighters. Could there be a ceiling on the markup storage capacity? By the way, I tried highlighting a word in The New Bible Commentary, and that didn't sync either
My tablet alternative for now seems to be to use the Vyrso app. Any other suggestions?

Network connection is fine, not in Airplane mode. I've done a Forced Stop, but still no sync.
Previously I created new styles of Highlighting on Logos 5.0b SR-2 on Windows 7. THese were synced to my Android Tablet and previous highlighting. Then I did a lot of highlighting offline and this then did not sync, and it still isn't syncing.
I added new highlighting on Logos 5 on PC to see if that would sync, but also not.
Could it be that there is a limit to what can be done?
So sorry, I'm not helped yet.

I seem to be having the same problem with highlighting. Not only that, but it seems that if I download a book with the Verbum app, it doesn't show up when using the Logos app.

Hi Lucas,
Since you are running a version of Android less than 4.1, it would be helpful if you install Catlog from the Google store in order to obtain logs from your system. This might help us track the issue down since I've been unable to reproduce it. Catlog allows you to mail your logs, which you can send to support (at) logos (dot) com.
My only other suggestion is to completely uninstall and reinstall the app.

Not only that, but it seems that if I download a book with the Verbum app, it doesn't show up when using the Logos app.
Downloading a book with Verbum will not automatically download that book to any other Logos app. Each app is sandboxed and they do not share locally stored resources. So, if you want to make sure you have a resource downloaded in each of the Logos apps you use, you'll need to download it in each of them.

I installed catlog, but still need to learn how to use it. Could you give me a pointer?
One positive note. The Daily Reading Plan did update in my tablet. Still no update for highights or for filtres.

We've learned a bit more tonight about what might be happening. There appears to be a sync issue with batch uploading if too many notes are created while offline, although we haven't yet discovered why. I consider this a high priority issue and intend to follow it through.

We have fixed this issue in our recent builds and hope to ship a beta tonight. If you upgrade to the beta, your existing highlights should sync and you won't lose any of them. Or, you can wait until we ship the next stable version to Google and Amazon (probably a week from now). Please don't uninstall and reinstall the app or the highlights that aren't currently syncing will be gone.0 -

Hi, I had the same problem, but it has not been fixed with the update. In Logos on my desktop I still get the message "An error occured during synchronization and the inductive highlights I placed in the Logos Android app are not synced to the desktop version. Could you help me find out what is the problem?

This thread is 17 months old and the sync issue you've described is unrelated - however, we were able to confirm a sync problem with your account and we're taking a look.
