John Owen Hebrews Commentaries Comparison

March Madness round 2 has John Owen's 7-volume Exposition of the Epistle to the Hebrews as well as the Crossway Classic Commentary: Hebrews. From what I've been able to read online the Crossway offering is an abridged version of the full set.

Does anyone have experience with these commentaries?
What have you found them useful for?
Does the abridged Crossway version cover most of the same content?
