IE8 is the last version fully compatible with Libronix, IE9 needed a patch and Libronix is flaky/unrelaible with IE10. So it is a good move to get Libronix out of the way of IE10.
When Apple upgraded the javascript engine in Safari 5, the Libronix 3 port to OS X essentially became an eBook reader.
The IE 9 patch for Libroinx 3.0g is a javascript setting to use the old engine. Personally lack interest in exploring IE 10 javascript backward compatibility with Libronix 3.0g
