Strange Sync problem
Here is what is happening: Changes to my desktop Logos 4, ie collections.., get uploaded and sync'd to my laptop. Changes to my laptop Logos 4 do not get sync'd back to the desktop.
Two possibilities as this was working at one time:
1. Beta2 issue or
2. Firewall issue as our server sotware was upgraded.
Most likely 2. Are there specific ports that need to be open for MS ISA software to allow incoming changes? Any specifics my TI guy needs to try and open this back up?

Which system has the beta? I'm finding my Beta is not updating Collections from the SR versions.

I have 4.0aBeta2 installed on my laptop and desktop using vista 64 bit on my desktop and vista 32 bit on my laptop. When I make changes to my desktop it gets sync'd to my laptop, but just like yours the changes I make to my laptop to not get sync'd to my desktop.

There should be no issues w/ syncing collections b/w SR current and Beta 2
Can you give a specific example of changes that are not syncing? Please include system versions and the steps taken to reproduce.

Thank you for the reply Scott. The problem is in all areas: collections, layouts, ratings in the library..
I think there is a problem with the installation on the desktop. I may reinstall tomorrow and see.

In my case it was newly created layouts and books put on the quick launch bar that we're not being snyc'd with my desktop. I will try and get some logs for you, but at what point do you want us to log? Should I start a new layout and then Save the log?
By the way my setup is Beta2 on both machines.

Close the app on machine B
Create a new bookmark and named layout on machine A
Wait a minute or so for the new items to upload to the sync server
Start the app on machine B
Wait about a minute for sync to finish
If the bookmark and named layout do not appear please send the log file from machine B

Here are the Logs from A & B machines. I read John's post, but I don't think that's my problem. I have a linksys wireless router, but it has not affected anything before I changed to 4.0aB23580.Logos Log Files Machine A.zip.8284.Logos Log Files Machine B.zip

Thanks for the repro logs. Unfortunately they fell within a 30 minute window in which the sync service was undergoing maintenance. Meaning the service endpoint was not available and the logs don't contain the underlying issue. The sync service is back up, if you could try that repro one more time I would really appreciate it.
