I have a dumb question.  I have never read the bible and have started with the Faithlife read in a year program. When i look up the schedule in the pdf file it says i should be reading from 3 different chapters, but when I look in my daily reading it only shows Genesis 1-3 or whatever.  It diesnt take me to the other ones I am supposed to read.  I am reading it on the iPad. I hope this makes sense and someone can help me.

I would think that the program would jump me to the next set of chapters so I read evrything I am supposed to any given day.  Thanks alot!

Paul

A little more info.  For example day 1 according to the bible reading plan .pdf file says to read

Genesis 1:1-2:25. and. Matthew 1:1-2.23. and. Ecclesiastes 1:1-5

and under the daily reading section the only thing that shows up is Genesis 1-3

Paul - Welcome to the forums!

I don't know anything about the faithlife reading plan… but you reference a .PDF. Do you have a link to this file? Have you actually created a reading plan on the app? Which app are you using?

I click on the help forums in the app and it brings me here.  I am using the faithlife app, and the read the bible in a year schedule.  The link to the pdf is

    Faithlife.com/bible-2013

And then in the green box on the left is the link to the pdf

The link to the pdf is Faithlife.com/bible-2013

HERE is a direct link to the PDF (in case anyone else reads this thread).

HERE is a clickable link to the faithlife page.

I am using the faithlife app, and the read the bible in a year schedule.

For clarification: The PDF is available so that people in your church or small group without the app can follow along with the plan.

I created a couple of reading plans to try and see if I could replicate this issue… I think I have discovered the issue. Before I troubleshoot that with you, I want to make sure that you have actually created a reading plan on your app. On the "homepage," in the upper right corner is a box called "Daily Readings." To create a plan, press the "plus" symbol. Did you do that? If so, I believe the issue is that you created the wrong plan… After looking at the site you directed me to, I think Logos should have done more to explain which reading plan is a part of the PDF.

To begin the reading plan as described on the PDF:

    1. Press the "Plus" symbol in the "Daily Readings" section of the homepage.
    2. Press the "Bible Reading Plan" tab.
    3. Press the "New Reading Plan" tab.
    4. Press the "Private Reading Plan" tab.
    5. Scroll through the list and press the "365-Day Connect the Testaments" plan tab.

It is VERY confusing that the title of the advertisement says "Read the Bible in a year," but the reading plan isn't called "Read the Bible in a year" (although there is one called that), but is rather called "365-Day Connect the Testaments." If this doesn't fix the problem, let me know.
