Highlight Text in Logos 5 for Mac

This seems like a silly question, but I can't figure out how to highlight text in Logos 5 for Mac. I highlight the text with my cursor, then right click and select a note to add the highlight to. The cursor moves over to the note and I can make my comment for later, but the problem is there is the option for highlighting and underlining are gone. Just change the "Note" color?

Any ideas? Did I accurately describe the problem?

Called support and they cleared it right up for me. You have to make the selection of Either "reference" or "selection" in the right click menu prior to choosing which note to add you selection too. I had not realized this.

I hope they did, but just to be sure: was it indeed a note you wanted to attach? Because your original question was about highlighting. If what you want is adding a note with a bit of highlighting to show what the note refers to, then, yes, you do it by adding a note to the Selection. But if all you want is the highlighting as such, then you should use Tools > Highlighting (where you can also set shortcuts).

whew I was beginning to wonder what I was doing wrong. I couldn't figure out how to highlight either. iPad is simple.

I couldn't figure out how to highlight either.

Open the Highlighting Tool (from the tools menu)
Choose the pallet you want.
Select the text.
Press the highlighter you want to use.

You can also assign shortcut keys to the highlighters. Notice that my yellow highlighter has a "Y" next to it. To assign a shortcut, click on the button to the right of the highlighter (you can see it next to the brown highlighter below).

You should make sure you learn about where highlights are stored and how to change the location before you start making too many highlights. [;)]
