Hello;

When viewing/reading on Android 2.3.9, I cannot scroll pass page 9 without the app shutting down. Any ideas?

Thanks

    Hi Erwin

    Running 2.3.9 I have just scrolled from the Title page to page 13-14 without any problem.

    Do you have the resource downloaded to your device? If so, I suggest removing it and trying to read it from Logos servers.

    If that works, download again and see if the problem has gone away.

    Hi Graham;

    I tried both ways (downloaded and online), and still not able to go beyond page 9. Later today, I will remove my reading plan and try again to see if that makes a difference.

    Thanks for confirming that this is not a general bug in the resource.

    Hi Erwin

    Later today, I will remove my reading plan and try again to see if that makes a difference.

    I was wondering if a reading plan was involved - there are sometimes / have been issues on reading certain books via reading plans on mobile devices.

    See discussion at http://community.logos.com/forums/t/53841.aspx for some context

    Well worth trying to just scroll down the resource outside of a reading plan.

    I've just created a reading plan for this resource to try it and it causes my Android app to crash out as well when scrolling through it. (It also behaves strangely on the iPad and displays a message about being unable to open the resource)

    So it looks - to me - as though some work needs to be done in this area on the mobile apps.

    Yes, this appears to be the same issue, and narrowed down to the mobile app. I confirmed by removing the reading from Logos5, syncing, closing Logos5, opening the mobile app, and was able to read without any issue. Then I added the reading plan again and had issues with scrolling beyond page 9. I was able to jump ahead to page 30 in the Goto box within the search bar, however, once I did that, I could not go to today's reading. I went a little further by removing the reading plan from the mobile app, but leaving it on the desktop (Logos5). Once I did that, I could once again read through without any issue. I also noticed that, when using the reading plan on the app, there is a slight lag when scrolling through the pages (up to page 9).

    Perhaps Kevin will give us an update on the status of the fix. For now, the workaround appears to be to use the reading plan on Logos5, but not to add it to the mobile app.

    Thanks Graham, we now have narrowed the issue down to the mobile app, and not with the resource or a specific device. Now, the wait for a fix. [:)]

    Hi Erwin,

    I've written up a case and sent it to our dev department.  The issue definitely has something to do with the specific resource, since navigating the resource will crash regardless of whether or not there is a reading plan.

    Hi Kevin

    I don't quite understand your comment

    Both Erwin and I found it was fine accessing the resource outside of a reading plan so I assumed the problem was reading plan-related.

    What am I missing?

    Thanks Kevin; On my device (Samsung Galaxy Note 2), the resource only crashes when implementing a reading plan for this resource. If I delete the reading plan on the device, I am able to read without a crash. I haven't read the book completely through from cover to cover though.

    Hi Graham;

    This is my observation as well. I'm not sure if Kevin read the issue or description of the issue correctly.
