Bible Knowledge Commentary out of sync
I use the BKC as my first choice in Logos. For the past few weeks, it seems that its internal tags are messed up on my iPad. If I sync it with my Bible, it never shows the correct passage. If I try to use its table of contents to go to a specific bible verse, it always goes to the wrong one.
Help?!

Hi Tom
I don't have my iPad with me at the moment so can't check whether I get the same thing.
Do you have the BKC downloaded to your iPad? If so, I suggest you remove it and see if you get the same behaviour when acccessing the BKC from Logos servers. If that works correctly, download again and see whether that has fixed the problem.

Confirmed. I do not have BKC downloaded, and using the servers to go to a book/ chapter/ verse from the TOC yields incorrect placement.

Interesting... It always places me further in the book than I specify, chapter 19 instead of 16, verse 35 instead of verse 1, for example, when I tap inside the page to specify another location, it is correctly displaying where I am, not where I asked to go.

Strange
i have just had a chance to try it on my iPad and it works fine

Bill - the opposite could also be the problem... Can you delete whatever bible (resource, not app!) you were using and redownload it ?

'Bama - I wasn't going there from a bible resource. I opened BKC, tapped to bring up the top status bar or go to panel, whatever you call it, and tried to go to a bible/ chapter/ verse, and it took me somewhere else. I selected TOC instead of book/ chapter/ verse, selected Acts, and it took me to Acts 1:23, a few pages beyond Acts 1:1.
i am using the just downloaded app 3.2.4 and have not downloaded the BKC.

I can confirm the issue through my Vyrso app, which does NOT have the BKC downloaded. If you have the space & time, can you download it and see if that fixes it for you? I'll make a bug report in the iOS beta forum.

I can confirm this same thing happens on the iPad, using Verbum. Once I download BKC to the iPad, the program goes to the correct verse. It does always seem to be a chapter or so past the desired scripture verse.

Just like taking your car to the mechanic...it started working this morning. FYI, I did have it downloaded and tried deleting and re-downloading several times over the past couple of weeks. Not sure why it is working now, but I'll take it!
Thanks all!

Is it currently downloaded or not? I can repeat the issue in the cloud, but downloaded works fine.

Agreed - once downloaded, go-to references now work as expected. Strange it only works when downloaded and not when getting information from Logos servers.

I had an email about this late last month, and the customer re-installed the app and it resolved the problem. I was briefly able to replciate the behavior, but after re-installing the behavior stopped.

I can both confirm the behavior & the fix (a reinstall of the APP fixed the problem… even though the resource was never downloaded). The fix, however, is a tough one for some to chew (which is one reason I suggest users be sparing in downloading a significant portion of their library).
