I agree. It would be great to have text-to-speech enabled on Bible for android. Have you considered voting for it on uservoice? Here are links to two suggestions about read -aloud.

I believe that text-to-speech is easier to implement on android than ios but hopefully the developers may consider implementing it even if it can only be done on the one platform.
