Wonderful recent video of J. I. Packer reflecting on weakness:
http://vimeo.com/59436976
He's always been known around Regent College for hanging onto his old manual typewriter when the rest of the world had passed him by decades ago, but there's something timeless about it and the wisdom he dispenses in this short clip. Beautifully shot, and wonderful words.
To keep this Logos related, I'd highly recommend the books in the Crossway J. I. Packer Collection (3 vols.)
I hope Logos publishes more of his works in the future:
- Knowing God (which they used to carry at one time)
- "Fundamentalism" and the Word of God
- God Has Spoken
- The Collected Shorter Writings of J. I. Packer (Vol 1: Celebrating the Saving Work of God; Vol 2: Serving the People of God; Vol 3: Honouring the Written Word of God; Vol 4: Honouring the People of God)
- A Grief Sanctified: Passing through Grief to Peace and Joy
- And many, many others.
