Since I joined these forums they're absolutely blowing up my email, like 100 a day.  Somebody tell me how to make the emails stop, please.

Select the link that says stop emailing me. You may have to do that for each one. See screen shot.

I'm not sure what you might have done to get notifications globally, (which is apparently what has happened), but I think a blunt-instrument way to get it to stop is to click "Edit" in the upper-right corner of the forum page, then click the Site Options button. Scroll down to near the bottom for Email configuration and click No on all 3 of those options. I think that should turn of the deluge. But I think it will also prevent you from getting notifications on posts you really want to follow.

    Thanks, all.

I turned 'em all off, if I'm following a thread I'll just check on it.

I turned 'em all off, if I'm following a thread I'll just check on it.

If you want to follow a thread without having your email flooded, just post a reply in that thread, and thereafter it will show up under Your Discussions, the ones with news posts at the top, and threads that you haven't looked at since new posts have been added in blue/bold.

I have to say I'm surprised at the answers you've been given. The link at the top of a thread only stops e-mails for that particular thread, and Site Options stops all e-mails, including the ones you want.

The normal way of handling forum e-mails is to click Forum Subscriptions in the upper part of the right column on the Forum Home page, and then select what forums you want (or don't want) to follow.

EDIT: You think a hundred e-mails are blowing things up? When L5 launched I got more than a thousand. A day.[:D]
