BUG: Update of Faithlife Study Bible moved all highlighting

Hi,
Yesterday, my Faithlife Study Bible was updated. Now I noticed that all my highlighting in the Faithlife Study Bible was moved. In fact, most of the time, I have no idea any more where the highlighting should be. This is pretty annoying and makes me wonder if it is worthwhile to use highlighting as there is the risk that the next resource update will move the highlights around.

Armin - I'm going to put a link to this message in the beta forum where I'm more confident that Logos will see it. This is a very serious but in my book.
Orthodox Bishop Alfeyev: "To be a theologian means to have experience of a personal encounter with God through prayer and worship."; Orthodox proverb: "We know where the Church is, we do not know where it is not."

Thanks so much, MJ.

We have reproduced this bug and will be:
- working on a fix to prevent it happening again in the future
- working on a way to automatically move your notes/highlights back to the correct locations
Right now, I don't have an estimate for when we'll complete these tasks, sorry. I apologise for the inconvenience.

Hi Brad,
I believe my highlights are still at the wrong place. Are you still working on this?

Yes, we are.
I'm sorry, but I don't have an update for you on when this will be completed.

Thanks so much, Brad, for taking the time to reply despite all the Logos 5 hectic. [;)]

Hi Brad,
Do you have any news on when this might be fixed?

Brad, do you have any update on this? Some highlights are still out of place.

Hi Brad,
It looks like this bug has still not been fixed. It is over half a year ago that I started this thread.
I am very disappointed that notes and highlights keep having issues. A few years ago, something similar happened (I believe it was in L3 or L4). What is the purpose of notes and highlights if every few years their locations are randomized?

Armin,
I'm sorry for the delay in fixing this problem. Did your notes and highlights only get moved in the FSB, or were any other resources affected?

Additionally, I just ran a quick analysis of the data, and it indicated that you had about only nine notes/highlights that could have been affected by that bug. Does that sound about right, or was the problem much more widespread? (I want to make sure I'm fixing the right thing.)

Hi Brad,
Thanks for getting back to me and sorry for the delay. I was on a long flight.
So far, I noticed the moved highlights and notes only in the FSB. I am not sure about the exact number but I don't believe that I have noticed more than nine moved highlights / notes. So your estimate sounds about right.
I am so nervous about bugs in notes due to on a pretty bad experience some years back when a Logos tech managed to irreversibly delete a large number of my notes. [:(]
Thanks for working on this.

I'm very sorry to hear that. Were these notes ever in Logos 4, or did this happen before then? If they were in Logos 4, and synced up to our server, we may be able to recover them from backups. I can look into it a bit further if you think it's likely they were synced with Logos 4.

Hi Brad,
This was in Libronix 3, i.e., before you started syncing notes.

These should now be fixed (the next time you sync). I think they were all located in 2 Kings 2 and Matthew 5.

Hi Brad,
I had put a marker at one of the locations. And there, the highlighting is fixed. So I am confident that also any other moved highlights are back at their correct place.
Thanks so much for working on this.
