Clarification about On-line ipad functionality
I've spent the past couple of hours reading posts within this forum and also searching for answers on youtube and google. I can't seem to find answers to the questions I have about L5 and ipad functionality.
Here's what I'd like to know:
1. If one is using the logos ipad app, my understanding is whether on-line or off-line, a user can only have 2 panels open at a time. Is this correct?
2. When reading a book while connected to wifi (ie the cloud), can one double click on a subject (any person, place or thing -- ex. "Barnabas" or "covenant" or "Egypt") and LINK to a bible dictionary in one's library?
3. While on-line, is there the capability to jump from one bible dictionary or commentary to another using Parallel Resource Sets?
4. If either 2. or 3. is possible while on-line, is either possible while off-line if the user has downloaded multiple bibles, dictionaries, and commentaries in his or her library?
thank you to current ipad L5 users that can answer these questions or point me to where they are discussed in past threads.

Hi Paul

This is correct - at least as far as "reading panels" go. You can click on the small icon at the top left of the screen to open up a "control panel" for searching or looking through your library etc without interrupting your two main panels.

Not directly
You can long-press (press and hold as opposed to double-click) on a word and you then have a couple of options:
- search for the word - and you can restrict the search to dictionaries assuming you have made a "Collection" of these dictionaries before (using L5) and then select this collection from within the search panel on the iPad app.
- conduct a BWS on the word (which will bring up more information about the usage of that word)

No

The "search" option - one of the options above - is available when offline. The BWS functionality requires you to be online.
Hope this helps.
