Logos 5 stopped working so I reinstalled.
When I click the app the "signing in" button appears and then it shuts down. I uninstalled and reinstalled again but the same thing?
Any ideas??
Thanks
Welcome [:D]
Would like to look at Logos diagnostic log files. Logos Support has => http://www.logos.com/support/logos5/mac/logging
The Logos application uses many database files. Uninstalling and reinstalling application does not affect database files in your home folder so an issue in a database file repeats.
If want to completely uninstall and reinstall, wiki has => http://wiki.logos.com/Mac_Troubleshooting#Uninstalling_Logos_4_Mac

Smiling for Jesus, did I do this correctly?
did I do this correctly?
It appears so. [:)] It looks like one of your data base files has become corrupt. As KS4J implied, deleting the application would have no effect, as these files remain and would be used again when you reinstall the application. I will include the path to the file below. Move the PreferencesManager.db file to your desktop and restart Logos. If everything works fine, you can delete the file (Logos will rebuild it). NOTE: in OSX 10.7 and above, the user library is hidden by default. If you need help with that, let us know.
Invalid database: /Users/Chrissy/Library/Application Support/Logos4/Documents/o0qk74ou.6h1/UserPreferences2/PreferencesManager.db
Alabama, thanks but i cannot find that file. That path does not even exist on the mac??
Under User/Chrissy/ there is no Library? I searhed for PreferencesManager.db nothing comes up???
Yes. LogosCrash.txt has an error message "database disk image is malformed" that includes the invalid database file. Concur with alabama24 that the Preferences Manager database file is corrupt. Personally suggest moving UserPreferences2 folder to the trash, then launching Logos:
/Users/Chrissy/Library/Application Support/Logos4/Documents/o0qk74ou.6h1/UserPreferences2
UserPreferences2 folder has PreferencesManager.db and PreferencesManager.db-journal files. Since the database (.db) file cannot be opened (malformed), the corresponding journal also needs to be rebuilt.
If Logos launches fine, then have option to empty the trash. Note: automatic rebuild of database file includes information sync from Logos servers.
Under User/Chrissy/ there is no Library?
OS X Lion note: by default, /Users/Chrissy/Library folder is hidden, with many ways to see contents => http://www.macworld.com/article/161156/2011/07/view_library_folder_in_lion.html and can assign keyboard shortcut => http://mac.finerthingsin.com/post/7849528212/lion-library-folder-visible
That path does not even exist on the mac?? Under User/Chrissy/ there is no Library?
Like I said earlier… it's hidden. [:P]
The links KS4J gave should explain more about finding your user library.
It worked THANKS ALL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Glad to help. [:)]
