Having a copy of the New Testament in the UK NIV I can tell you it is more than spelling. Some words have been changed as well… Quite often grain is changed to corn (but not always), heads of grain is turned to ears of corn, in places like Job 24.. Coney in Leviticus 11:5 which is already a britishism (for rabbit) is changed to the more accurate hyrax. I wish i could find a list of phrases changed. To most of us north americans corn means maize, to the british person corn is usually something to describe a kernel or grain of a plant. I am quite sure there are other changes these are the ones i could think of off the top of my head.

PS:http://betterbibles.com/2007/04/14/british-and-american-bible-version-differences/ gives a few more examples I also wanted to point out the NIV is not changed in meaning by these just may make searching harder if you remember the wording differently...
Peace, Dan! *smile* That's an excellent post and much appreciated! Thanks for the "work" you've done for us! Indeed!
I bought this resource, having seen P.A. highlight it, and am pleased with it!

I just find the UK update inconsistent I mean in Proverbs 84 has coneys UK has conies rather than changing it like it did in Levitcus. But for those wishing to use the 1984 I am glad you have this option. I too picked up the UK but only for comparison purposes I am one who is quite happy with the 2011 update over all….

I must admit that I have a "plethora" of Bibles in my Library, but am delighted about that! *smile*
I often use Compare Verses using ALL my many Bibles. Every one has its strengths and a few "unstrengths"!
My favourite is still the King James; however, I've switched to the ESV and my number one Bible in Logos!
I've actually had the NIV 1984 for many years, obtaining that from Concordia along with the NIV Study Bible (Lutheran Enhanced Version), which I think is the only NIV Study Bible available digitally, eh???
Lutheran Enhanced Version
I like that… I had heard of it as having the harsh calvinisms removed, but I like Lutheran Enhanced better. It too is how i got NIV in Logos although I know it was also part of my eventual base package when i upgraded to Logos 4.

so I've missed something. Why can't I have NIV84 or the TNIV on Biblia, since I own those in Logos. I thought the whole point was to have the ability to view MY resources on the web.... And needing it right now, since LOGOS is unusable right now - as it's redownloading 7 GB of data for some reason and won't let me into it. Frustrated....

I'm afraid it's a licensing issue - see http://community.logos.com/forums/t/55960.aspx for a discussion of this

As Graham said, its a licensing issue. Logos philosophy is that you SHOULD be able to have access to ALL of your resources, on ANY device ALL of the time. The publisher, however, must agree to it. As for the NIV84… the copyright holder's desire for everyone to move to the new NIV and so they are making it difficult to access the NIV84. In the past they also wanted to make mobile a separate license from your desktop one… which is why the NIV was unavailable for so long on mobile.
LOGOS is unusable right now - as it's redownloading 7 GB of data for some reason and won't let me into it.
What is going on? Were you having difficulties with something? Did you create a thread about the issue?
