desktop.ini keeps showing on desktop

The post title says it all. I keep getting this desktop.ini file showing up on my desktop. My OS is Windows 7 profesional. The file has this inside:

[LocalizedFileNames]
Logos Bible Software 4.lnk=@C:\Users\user\AppData\Local\Logos4\Logos4.exe,-301

How do I fix this? Seems like this happens only when Logos installs updates.

I don't know how to change those options on the desktop?Usually you can right click an item and it will give you the option to view hidden files. Being that I'm talking about the desktop and not a folder I don't believe that's possible.

Desktop.ini files are what Windows uses to customize folder appearance. They are harmless.

usually I just ignore them and delete them, then do a warm reboot, then restart L4/5 respectively. Never had any issues.....I will say that they are usually associated w/the blue screen of death, did you perchance get that before the *.ini had shown itself....?

Pressing <Alt> key in Windows Explorer shows the menu bar, which includes Tools => Folder options...

View tab has an option to "Hide protected operating system files (Recommended)"

Desktop.ini are Hidden System (HS) files. If View option for "Hide protected operating system files (Recommended)" is unchecked, desktop.ini file(s) appear on the desktop.
