Do you like Logos 5.0 on Your Surface Pro?

There are lots of posts that noone has responded to about who well Logos 5 works on the very expensive Surface Pro with Windows 8.

Can anyone tell us all how it works with some screen shots please?

Is it sluggish or slow? Does it work as well or better than say your Windows labtop or current Desktop pc?

When you use it as a reader or during a Bible study - does it heat up causing the fans to come on a lot?

Are searches easy for finding references, doing passage searches, etc.

Is the Screen real estate and font too small to be useful during say a Bible Study or teaching session?

Would you recommend a Surface Pro over an existing Android like the Nexus 7 or 10 please?

I have responded to your questions about the Surface Pro in other posts and said how well Logos 5 works on it. Maybe you should go back and look at those posts.

Logos is not sluggish or slow, but then it isn't as fast as my Core i7 desktop with a SATA 3 SSD and 16GB of system RAM and dedicated video card with 2GB of RAM. But it is plenty fast for me, which means that I can use the pen to highlight and scroll through windows with my finger.

When I use Logos 5 as a reader it doesn't heat up unacceptably, but then I have modified the power settings so that the processor runs a little slower and the screen brightness is turned to about 50%. This also increases battery life.

As for whether you want a Surface Pro or Android tablet, that's a personal decision. If you want to read primarily, get an Android tablet. If you want the full Logos 5 experience, get a Surface Pro or the Samsung ATIV 700T. By the way, one key benefit to running Logos 5 on a Surface Pro is that you can read all of your personal books on the Surface Pro. My second screen shot below shows in the right window a personal book made of E.W. Hengstenberg's Christology of the O.T. You can't read personal books using the Android app.

Here are 2 screenshots. The first is taken with the desktop at a zoom level of 100%. Many have commented that on the Surface Pro this renders text way too small, although you will get more on the screen. The second is with the zoom level at 125%. The Surface Pro comes set with the desktop at 150%.

Yes, the highlight in the screen shots was made using the stylus (pen) and tapping the yellow highlighter.It is a quicker process than on an iOS and Android device.

I am not very good at videos, but maybe someone who has a Surface Pro or ATIV 700T (they have the same specs) can put together some videos on navigation, highlighting, searching, etc. Anyone?

is it possible to set the highlighter color and forget it so that anything you underline is that color without having to use a ribbon bar/column off to the left each time?

I dislike having to go into a separate window each time on my android Nexus 7 for example.

This was answered earlier when you asked about hotkeys. With the stylus I can easily select text in a pane in Logos5, but the program doesn't know what I want to do with that text until I tell it. Do I want to 1) copy it to the clipboard so I can paste it into another program? 2)Do I want to execute one of the right-click options to search, do a BWS, look-up, etc. or 3) do I want to apply a highlighter style? (which style - highlighter color? underline? colored box? etc.). Because of the flexibility in Logos5 I must tell it what to do with the text I have just selected with the stylus. The easiest way to do this is to 1) click on a style in an open pane or 2) use a hot-key to choose a particular style.

I don't believe the functionality you desire (selecting text= automatically assigning a chosen highlighter style) is possible without turning off the other options of what can be done with selected text.
