Bible App ~ Managing all those books to just a few bibles

Logos, hope everyone is doing well. You know how when you are reading a bible verse and then you can touch around the header that contains that particular bible name (say GWT, ESV or such) and then get a menu of all your books in that app?... is there anyway to just always pair-that-down to just a few particular bibles? I always have to type in ‘Bible’ to get it down to just bibles. Then I can’t read the foreign language stuff either (grin). TIA

ps. thanx very much for all the quality work and free stuff. I would like to pull the trigger on getting some more bibles when you have sale on them. Also thanks for the free NIV on faithlife app.

This probably isn't exactly what you were hoping for, but if you are reading a bible, and you click on the header itself, rather than the side-panel button next to it, it will show you a list of bibles only. :)

That would be an awesome feature to switch between bibles and commentaries (although gestures for switching would be a sweet addition), but I don't see that behavior. I've tried several bibles and tried touching everywhere in the header, but all I ever see is the entire list.

I noticed that touching the header brings up the entire library list, but the various bibles are listed at the top of the list alphabetically

Strange. I don't see that. It's just the entire list of resources sorted. Exactly the same sorted list that shows in the library. This is on both my Nexus 7 and Galaxy Nexus.

There is a reason the list of books does not show the Bibles first. This only applies to when you touch in the middle of the header as to why. The solution applies either touching the middle or left of the header.

If you look carefully to the right of the screen where the "Find" box is, there is a white down marker in a box with Black text (you may have to get your phone/tablet in just the right light to see the text). Touching in this box brings up two option also shown in Black text. The two options are "Sort by Title" or "Sort by Author". If you choose "Sort by Author" the Bibles come up at the top of the list. When you touch to the left the background is white so you can easily see the sort by option setting.

I don't know why they seem to be hiding the feature. The text should at least be a gray so it can be seen that there is an option there.

    Hope this helps.

    Glenn

    Thanks Glenn,

You solved one mystery. It does indeed work. The other mystery is why there? I hope that's a temporary location for this feature because it makes no sense. Well, I suppose it does make a kind of sense to have books authored by GOD to be at the top of a list sorted by authors. Maybe it's intended to be on both sortings or maybe there will be a future sort by rank where it will be moved to? I do appreciate the feature though.

Hi all, actually what I thought was meant by "touch the header and get a list of bibles" is TRUE... but in the Faithlife app and not the bible app. See, what happens in the Faithlife app would be pretty good if that happened in the Bible app, and even better if you could choose what bibles popup. TIA
