Crash: Bible Word Study

I managed to repeat the crash several times. Right click the last word "God" in Jn. 5:18  (NASB 95) & select the lemma "theos", select "Bible Word Study". Using L4b2.

    I reported this bug here:

    http://community.logos.com/forums/t/5530.aspx

It was confirmed, but noone from logos has commented on the second bug that I described in that thread that has been present since early in the beta process.

    Hi Greg,

George reported the BWS crash to development on 11/24, and I've provided more information after reproducing it in 4.0aB2 on my system. I've also reported the 'not responding' issue you mentioned in other post. That probably falls under the 'optimization' we're currently working on, which may be the reason you didn't get a response at the time. I ran the same BWS in LDLS 3 and it took 40-80 seconds to complete, but the program didn't say 'not responding'. Obviously, we want Logos 4 to do better.

    Thanks,
    Melissa

    Thanks for the response Melissa.

Just to clarify - It is not the length of time that it takes for the verses to be displayed when you click on the blue part of the circle that is the biggest problem (although I agree it needs to be optimized significantly).  The real problem is when you click the blue circle the second time (on words that are used 500 plus times).  It should close and the verses should vanish.  Instead it takes as long or longer to delete the verses, as it did to list them.

Also, if you click (the first time) on the blue circle, and then hit the x to close the tab it takes 40-80 seconds to close.  I would think that these two issues are bugs - but, what ever category it falls into, I'm glad it is being looked into.  Thanks again for the reply.

This should be fixed in Beta 3.
