Allow PB's to be hidden within the PBB tool.

I would like to see the ability to hide personal books within the personal book builder tool. Why? Because the list gets too unwieldy. There are a number of books which, in my mind, are "complete." I could simply delete the PB from the PBB, but I MAY need to edit something in the future, so hiding it would be preferable.

If I could hide PB's in this way, I would keep in the list 4-5 PB's that I am currently creating, along with those which by nature get continually updated.

It can be difficult to find PB's, especially if you have lots of them. If we could have a grid view, like the library, that would solve a lot of problems (particularly if we could sort by build date).

I'd rather (or in addition) have the ability to sort the PB tool by author or publisher or especially last built date, so all the ones I'm currently working on would stay near the top of the sort order.

Alabama, did you know you can filter the PB tool? Press Ctrl+F (Mac: Cmd+F) and type anything, and it will filter the tool to show only those books whose metadata matches what you type. So if you're actively creating/building 4-5 PB's you could add the words IN PROGRESS to the end of the titles. Then you can filter to show only those books by pressing Ctrl+F and entering IN PROGRESS.

Yes, but it works very poorly.

So if you're actively creating/building 4-5 PB's you could add the words IN PROGRESS to the end of the titles.

Here is one of the problems with the "find" tool in PBB… Notice that the "edit" button is hidden behind the search bar. Of course, when you close the search bar to "edit," your list is no longer filtered. [;)] (I'll create a bug thread).

Yes, this has bothered me for a long time. I wish the filter box were positioned in all that blank space instead of dropping down from the toolbar. I reported this probably a while back and was told they'd look into it, but in the meantime I could click on the title of the book (instead of the Edit button) to get into Edit mode. That's not very intuitive. But then again, not much about the PB tool is intuitive. The way the Edit/Open/Finished buttons work is really awkward. I've ranted about that elsewhere.

Indeed! I've been saying that a long time -- or at least I've been thinking it a long time, but I believe I've said it now and then as well, including in the link below.
