Wouldn't it be great if Erickson's book was discounted even further for those who recently bought his older version, say within the last year?
Blessings,

i would agree, since i did that last fall.
While it would be great to have- $45 to much- I'll stick w/ 2nd edition, its not my primary theology book, but if they had upgrade or update for $15- may consider it.
Some material in the 2nd ed. has been dropped in the upcoming edition, so it does make sense to hold on to it.
Lee, where did you see that?
There it is, in the preface:
I have become increasingly aware that an updated version of Christian Theology is needed. New turns in the discussion of such doctrines as the atonement, justification, and divine foreknowledge deserve treatment in any study of basic doctrines of the Christian faith. In this third edition, I seek to address those discussions. In order to maintain the length of this volume, certain portions of the earlier editions have been condensed or eliminated.
