Bug: 5.6B1 Mac — Undo and redo
On program load, Undo and Redo are available in the edit menu... Surely they shouldn't be available unless there is something to undo or redo.
Secondly, if I delete a note from a note file, it would be nice to be able to undo that. As far as I can tell your fine if you delete a whole note file since you can restore it from the cloud, but it seems if you accidentally delete a note from within a note file there's no way to undo it.
When I first tried to undo deleting a note I had this crash which I couldn't repeat:

I am able to undo deleting a note by pressing Cmd+Z on Mac and Ctrl+Z on Windows. However, selecting "Undo" from the Edit menu on Mac does not undo deleting a note. I will report this issue to Development.

I will pass your log on to Development. The Logos.log file, and error and crash logs, would be helpful.
Also, do you happen to remember the content of the note you deleted? It is possible that the crash was associated with the format (bulleted list, numbered list, empty space?) deleted content.

Hmm... I'm pretty sure the keyboard shortcut only works by invoking the menu item [:^)] On further testing it seems that Undo/Redo do in fact work (via shortcut or menu) so long as the Notes panel has focus, if another panel has focus undo/redo doesn't work via either method.

Thanks, unfortunately I clicked reopen before I remembered to grab the logs [:$] The automatic log reporter triggered so hopefully that sent in the rest of the logs, with a comment along the lines of crash while trying to undo deleting a note.

It was plaintext with no unusual formatting, links or anything.

I can confirm that on Mac stable -- but, interestingly, it does work when the note has been moved to another note file, rather than deleted.
EDIT: Or, rather, I could confirm that -- multiple times -- but now it suddenly works for deletion as well.[^o)]

Here as well there are interesting differences on Mac between an Undo after a deletion and an Undo after a move.

Brisa, wouldn't you make life a lot easier for both yourselves and us if you programmed Logos to always save, say, three logs, instead of just the active one?

+1 [Y] At least one backup would be great! Quite a few times I've mistakenly overwritten a log I needed. My fault for doing so, but one backup of each log would be a super helpful low-cost fix for my over-eagerness, forgetfulness, and other various faults.

This issue should be fixed in 5.1 Beta 9. Please let us know if you experience this crash again after that build is shipped.
