How does the Standard Lesson Commentaries compare with the Standard Reference Library? The 2013-2014 volume of the Standard Lesson Commentary is currently in prepub. http://www.logos.com/product/31271/standard-lesson-ecommentary-2013-2014

What can you tell me about either of them? I have the Standard Reference Library and the 2012-2013 Lesson Commentary in my Logos Library but haven't used either of them very much. Would you recommend picking up previous years issues of the Lesson Commentaries?
Thank-you for your help.
I have the latter, but not the former. the Former almost seems like a lay level journal. The latter seems more like in depth books. Both seem targeted at entry to mid level bible studiers.
What can you tell me about either of them?
Standard Lesson Commentaries is a programmed Sunday School curriculum. It repeats itself on a six? year cycle. (maybe 4 or 5 year cycle. I can't remember) The lessons are done well enough to be used by an untrained volunteer to lead a class while keeping sufficient interest.
The Standard Reference Library is more of an OT/NT survey for lay workers. It includes background material and textual based outlines.
It repeats itself on a six? year cycle.
Six years = International Standard Sunday School Lessons since mid 1800's. Repetition is with distinct variation but within the same topic/passage.
Thank-you for your help, much appreciated.
