Notes Editor Unexpected Behavior: Numbered Lists

Today I was using numbered lists and found that I wanted to put information on a new line between each number of the list. I hit Enter, delete the number that appears, and then to my chagrin the following number resets to 1.
In Microsoft Word this doesn't happen, so I was expecting the numbers to continue as they were. Word of course has the option to restart the numbering / select to continue the numbering scheme, something the Logos editor doesn't yet have.

I can confirm this on 5.1 B9 Mac. I just tried it out and expected a soft return (shift-enter) to allow a new line without a bulleted item appearing… but no-go. [:(]

On my windows computer, the Shift-Enter works in lists. According to this entry (http://community.logos.com/forums/t/70267.aspx) it has been fixed. If you can verify that it has not on Mac, I recommend you report it there.

Thanks for pointing out the Shift-Enter option. That works well (on Windows).

Lists are not necessarily intended to work exactly like they do in Word. It sounds like you are wanting to insert a line break (Shift-Enter). I will be looking into why users are reporting that this is not currently working on Mac.
One important thing to note about line breaks is that they don't actually create a new paragraph so all paragraph styling applies to both sides of the line break (e.g. you are not able to have different alignments or margins, etc).
