Possible minor bug in RC 1

Regarding:

Clicking on the Lectionary widget in the Home Page ribbon launches a pre-made ‘Lectionary Layout’.

  • Clicking on the title of the Lectionary widget in the ribbon will open the resources in the layout to the first reading.

I have tried clicking the title a couple of times (Catholic lectionary), and it actually opens the layout to the Psalm, the third bible reference line.

No problem with that in Windows. But the "pre-made 'Lectionary Layout' " happens to be my current layout with the lectionary opened to the first reading.

    Can't replicate this on Mac.

However, if someone on Verbum could tell me what's supposed to be in the lower middle panel, I'd be interested to know.

Hmm. I am on Windows 7 x64, yesterday's readings it did it every time - opened to the Psalm. Today it works correctly. Go figure.

    fgh and Don

Do you open Logos to a layout or Home Page? What is the pre-made layout when you open a lectionary from Home Page?

I always open to the Home Page - I love the newspaper article look and feel [:D]

Here is what the layout looks like when I click the title, today "Eleventh Sunday in Ordinary Time", on the Lectionary panel on the Home Page:

Noticed highest prioritized commentary and devotion opened in two tabs.

Apologies: unable to replicate a day later using Logos 5.1 RC 1 on Windows and OS X.  Used close all command, clicked Home Page, clicked lectionary title, which opened pre-made lectionary layout to first reading.

Quite different to what I get after doing a Close All.

The Release Note description "a pre-made ‘Lectionary Layout’" needs to be clarified.

Last used layout. I believe both times I've tried have been directly after a restart, and opening to an empty screen.

Essentially like Don's, except I have different prioritizations, of course, plus I have a devotional added to the lower middle panel.

Of course! Should have figured that one out myself.[:$] I knew it wasn't supposed to be the Biblical DSS Index volume.[:D] I started fine-tuning my prioritizations a week or two ago. I clearly need to get back to it...

Yesterday I first clicked on the section heading, then closed all, and went back and clicked on the actual name of the day. Both opened to the first reading.

Today I first clicked on the actual name of the day, then closed all and went back and clicked on the section heading. Both opened to the Psalm.

    Have I solved the mystery?

YES! That is what I did the first time now that you mention it - I clicked the name of the day by mistake. I just tried it, and that goes to the Psalm. But clicking the Title now too goes to the Psalm, until I restart Logos. Good job figuring this out! That's not the right way for it to work, is it?

I think it opens the first passage in the list on the Home Page which is the lectionary readings summarised in canonical order! I found this for Catholic Lectionary, RCL Daily and Book of Common Prayer (Daily).

I was able to reproduce this issue on Mac and Windows and have created a case for Development.

This (and the order of the passages displayed in the tool itself) will be fixed in the next update.
