Adding Milestones to each verse in a personal Bible

Dear Gentlemen,

On the wikipedia page, I found this :"Milestones are not seen in the finished resource. They’re hidden markers that indicate the location in a resource. For example, in a Bible, a milestone is needed at every verse."

I am working through a version of the Bible in Portuguese which is not available through Logos, and would like to know exactly where I would place the milestone in each verse.

If you search the Files forum you will find the source docx to a few bibles.

The basic idea is simple, though:

[[@Bible:Matt 5:9]] 9 “Blessed are the peacemakers, for they shall be called sons of God.

[[@Bible:Matt 5:10]] 10 “Blessed are those who are persecuted for righteousness’ sake, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.

The milestone enclosed in [[...]] is not seen in the PB text, so you need to repeat the book/chapter/verse according to your preferences; my example has ESV formatting with the bold verse numbers.

You also need to be aware of the versification scheme used by the bible and build that into the milestone. The Where Used column shows the bibles used by a datatype e.g if yours corresponds to La Biblia de Nuestro Pueblo (Spanish) the milestone becomes [[@BibleBNP:Matt 5:9]]. The important thing is to use a single scheme that covers all the books/chapters/verses of your bible, so check the coverage in http://wiki.logos.com/Bible_Verse_Maps - in this case look for the coverage of bnp and use another if it is more suitable.
